Today ended the seven day home stand for the Bombers. They lost against the Woodchucks by a score of 6-3. They tried to battle back in the bottom of the ninth but we not able to gain enough steam to score 5 runs.

In the bottom of the third Shane Street got on base with a hit ball to third that the baseman dove for but could not get a great grip on. He then overshot first base. A bunt from Noble Enriquez put Street on second base but was left on at the end of the inning.

Chris Amezquita got a base hit to left field for the ‘Chucks in the fourth inning. Travis Whitmore hit a short fly ball to right field for a single Brandon King stepped up to the plate and hit a three-run homerun, his third of the season, to put the Woodchucks up by three. In the fifth Grant Dozar hit a two RBI double to put Wisconsin up 5-0.

During the seventh Eric Schultz hit a double with two outs on the board. Parker Berberet came in and had a base hit and that advanced Schultz to third. Schultz was able to score on a wild pitch putting the Bombers on the board.

The Woodchucks got one more run in the ninth inning to put them up 6-1. King had a stand up double and scored off of a sacrifice fly.

Josh Lyon came up to bat for the Bombers and hit a line drive to center field. With a Dan Dispensa single, Lyon ran for two bases. With runners on the corners Lyon scored on a wild pitch. Schultz ran for a triple which scored Dispensa and made the score 6-3. The Bombers fought back but were only allowed two runs in the last inning.

Schultz had two hits and an RBI, one hit was a triple and the other was a double. Kevin Bryant got the loss for the Bombers, pitching six innings allowing five runs on six hits. Chris Licon got the win for the ‘Chucks, throwing eight innings, with the Bombers scoring three times on eight hits.
