BATTLE CREEK, MI – The OnStaff Group Recruiting Trail welcomes two from California to the Battle Creek Bombers 2016 roster. Dean Miller joins the team from Riverside City College and Cody Sporrer comes to Battle Creek from the University of California, Riverside.

Dean Miller: 6’3”, 225 lbs, CF, Freshman, (Bats: R/Throws: R), Riverside, California

During his freshman year at Riverside City College, Miller has hit .237 in 38 games. In his 130 plate appearances, he has registered 13 walks and 17 runs batted in. In the field, he has made 80 put outs and 51 assists in 145 total chances.

In his senior year at Ramona High School, Miller hit .384 in 27 games with a .472 on base percentage. He also had 28 runs batted in while scoring 34 runs.

Cody Sporrer: 6’0”, 160, 2B/SS, Sophomore, (Bats: R/Throws: R), Fullerton, California

In his first year at UC Riverside, Sporrer hit .295 in 35 games, which was the fourth best average on the team. He also had 15 runs batted in and had a .348 slugging percentage in 112 at bats. He had eight multi-hit games and scored a career-high four runs in one game.

At Chino Hills High School, he helped his team win the 2014 Sierra League Championship. Sporrer was the Sierra League Most Valuable Player and was voted Team Most Valuable Player.
