Battle Creek, Mich. – The Battle Creek Bombers had the bats on fire on Sunday afternoon, as they scored 20 runs in a 20-3 victory over the Wisconsin Woodchucks.

The 20 runs are the most by Battle Creek (27-20, 7-5) in a game this season, as they would split the series with the Woodchucks.

11 different Bombers recorded hits, with BC racking up 15 hits on the day.  They also would draw 11 walks and had two players hit by a pitch.

Justin Felix (Arkansas State) and his college teammate Alex Howard each drove the ball out of the yard.  Felix hit a grand slam in the bottom of the third, his fourth home run of the season.  He would finish the game with two hits and six RBIs.  Howard knocked a solo shot in the seventh, his fifth long ball as he drove in three runs.

Every player in the starting lineup knocked a hit, with both Winston Welch (Arkansas State) and Cale Hennemann (University of Memphis) each came in late and also recorded hits.

Alec Trela (University of Memphis) knocked in two runs on a double, while JD Mundy and Tom Stoffel of Virginia Tech each drove in runs as well.  Stoffel moved his hitting streak to six games.

Cody Hawken (University of Portland) continued his hot streak, going 2-4 as his hit streak moves to five games.

Two others recorded RBIs, with Nikola Vasic (McHenry County College) and Nick Menken (Virginia Tech) driving in runs.

The Bombers are now 14-12 at C.O. Brown Stadium, as they went 2-2 in their home stand before the All-Star break.

The break will last until Wednesday, with the Bombers starting back up on Thursday night in Green Bay. Game one against the Bullfrogs will begin at 8:05 p.m. ET from Joannes Stadium.

Tune in to the pregame show on the Bombers Radio Network with Jake Hromada and Neil Doyle at 6:55 p.m. CT.
