The Battle Creek Bombers are excited to welcome Camrin Gutekunst and Gabe Genovesi to the Bombers media staff for the summer. Camrin and Gabe will serve as play-by-play announcer and color commentator for all home and road games this season.

Get to know the voices of Bombers Radio:

Camrin Gutekunst is a student majoring in broadcasting with a double minor in professional sales and electronic media sales at Central Michigan University. He grew up in Livonia, Mich. where he lived for 15 years. Camrin played football, baseball, wrestling, track & field, basketball, and soccer all competitively growing up. At CMU, he is a sports anchor for News Central 34, analyst for Sports Central, production member for our CSN/ESPN3 crew, and an active member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. In his free time Cam loves to fish, collect sports memorabilia, hang out with friends, and do anything related to sports. Ever since he started playing sports at 4 years old, he’s always had a deep passion for them and the way they bring people together. Gutekunst states he loves the level of competition and drive that sports bring out of people, and has always wanted to be involved with them as much as he could be.

Gabe Genovesi is a sophomore at Ohio University majoring in Journalism. Genovesi broadcasts a multitude of sports at Ohio. He is the color commentator and fill-in play-by-play broadcaster for Ohio women’s basketball and Ohio softball on AM-1340 WOUB and ohiobobcats.com. He also color commentates for Ohio Volleyball and does play-by-play for Ohio Wrestling, both on ESPN3. Last summer, Genovesi broadcasted for the Xenia Scouts, a baseball team in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. He broadcasted all 42 games last summer and brings that experience into this summer with the Bombers. For all of his play-by-play work, Genovesi was ranked the 17th best collegiate broadcaster in the country by the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America (STAA) in 2017.  Being from Columbus, Ohio, Gabe’s inspiration to become a play-by-play broadcaster came from Paul Keels, voice of the Ohio State Buckeyes. He looks forward to bringing the same type of energy and passion as Keels to every broadcast with the Bombers this summer.
