Bombers Offer Fans a Chance at “15 Minutes of Fame”
BATTLE CREEK, MI – Minor league baseball teams are known for their unique promotions. You’ve probably received a bobblehead or watched the team play in a crazy promotional jersey, but you’ve probably never thought about being the bobblehead or having your face on a jersey.
Well, the Kalamazoo Growlers and Battle Creek Bombers are each giving one lucky fan a chance at hosting a promotional night in their honor with the announcement of “15 Minutes of Fame Night”. The teams will each rename themselves after a fan and provide memorable experiences all in their honor.
The winner of the contest will receive:
A bobblehead in their likeness
Their face and name on the team jerseys and hats for the night
Officially signed to a one day contract
Game night autographs for fans, first pitch and more
To be entered into the “15 Minutes of Fame” contest, fans need to fill out the form below. After submissions are taken, 2 fans from each team will be chosen and then voted by the fans via the team’s social media channels.
The teams will play each other in their respective cities on June 1st in Kalamazoo, MI and June 2nd in Battle Creek, MI.
The Kalamazoo Growlers and Battle Creek Bombers are known for their unique promotions. The Growlers won Ballpark Digest’s 2014 Promotion of the Year for the Salute to Selfie Jersey where the team wore jerseys covered in fan selfies. The Bombers are more recently known for their unique concession items like the Twinkie Dog along with their Fruity Pebbles jerseys honoring their Cereal City history.
