We will begin our fifth season on Monday, May 31 (Memorial Day) at 7:05 p.m. with a home game against the Wilmar Stingers.
The full Northwoods League (NWL) schedule returns to normal in 2021 featuring 22 teams, each playing 72 regular season games. The Larks will play their nine Great Plains Division rivals and host 36 home games at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark, home of Dakota Community Bank & Trust Field.
“Last season was unique in so many ways, but we are excited to return to a sense of normal this summer,” said John Bollinger, Larks chief experience officer. “We’ve built great rivalries between the other NWL Great Plains Division teams like the Wilmar Stingers and Duluth Huskies and can’t wait for our sold-out crowds to watch the Larks take them on again.”
In 2020, the Larks played an adjusted schedule with 72-home games between three local teams, no player travel and limited crowd sizes due to COVID-19. The Larks are hopeful for a 2021 season without those restrictions, but they are ready to adapt to make sure fans feel safe and games follow state and local safety guidelines.
“There is a lot of promising news as we head into the summer,” Bollinger said. “Our mantra has always been to use the power of fun to make a difference in people’s lives and I believe the Larks can play a powerful role in bringing our community back together in a safe, fun way.”
Another key change to the Larks 2021 schedule is the majority of home games will start at 6:35 p.m., with the exception of firework show nights (7:05 p.m.) and Sunday games (4:05 p.m.).
The Larks are asking fans for their support in 2021 by purchasing a new Larks Family Membership superpowered by Scheels. Larks Family Members get the best seats to the best games, free food and drinks, a jersey, hat and special access to year-round events all for a great price.
