LA CROSSE, WI\u2013<\/strong> The Larks gave up eight runs in the bottom of the third inning and weren\u2019t able to make a comeback, as they fell 10-7 to the La Crosse Loggers. Falling to 15-10 on the season, the Larks are now in a three way tie for second place with Mankato and Willmar in the Northwoods League standings and the Duluth Huskies sit on top with a three game lead.<\/p>\n

The Bismarck bats showed up to start the game with a single by Ripken Reyes and a walk by Kyle Stevens before a three run home run off of the bat of Michael Farnell to get on top 3-0.<\/p>\n

Bennett Wiggins started on the mound for the Larks and gave up one unearned run in the third inning which made it a 3-1 game.<\/p>\n

The Larks bats weren\u2019t done there as they were able to score two runs in the top of the third inning. Cristian Montes and Reyes scored on unearned runs and increased their lead to 5-1.<\/p>\n

The roughest inning of the year for the Larks occurred in the bottom of the third inning when the Loggers were able to hit three home runs, two doubles, three singles and eight runs. Even with the eight runs, the Larks were only down four runs and in striking distance down 9-5 after three innings.<\/p>\n

Farnell and Tristen Carranza scored in the top of the fifth inning to make it a two run game down 9-7. Matt Butler and Parker Harm came into the game out of the bullpen and pitched 5.2 innings and only allowed one earned run.<\/p>\n

The Loggers added an insurance run in the sixth inning and the Larks weren\u2019t able to scratch across any more runs. Reyes and Farnell both had three hits in tonight\u2019s ballgame and Farnell drove in three runs which was a team high for the Larks.<\/p>\n

The Larks lost by a score of 10-7 and are now 15-10 on the season. The Larks will be back in action tomorrow night when they take on the La Crosse Loggers. First pitch is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. Catch all the action on http:\/\/mixlr.com\/larksbaseball\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n
