BISMARCK, ND –\u00a0<\/strong>The Northwoods League has announced the participants for the 2018 All-Star Game Home Run Derby which will take place before the Northwoods League All-Star Game in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Tuesday, July 24 at 5:30 p.m.<\/strong> (EST). Nine participants from both the South and North have been chosen for the event which will feature a nine-inning competition between the two divisions.<\/p>\n

Larks players Mike Farnell <\/strong>(Murray State),<\/strong> with four home runs to date this season, and Matt Warkentin<\/strong>\u00a0(Xavier) ,with eight homers on record will represent Bismarck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

This honor comes on the heels of the All-Star line-up.\u00a0Four\u00a0Bismarck Larks have been voted to the 2018 Northwoods League All-Star Game.<\/p>\n

Catcher\u00a0Michael Farnell<\/strong>\u00a0(Murray State), infielder\u00a0Ripken Reyes<\/strong>\u00a0(California), outfielder\u00a0Cristian Montes<\/strong>\u00a0(Stony Brook), and starting pitcher\u00a0Hendry Rodriguez<\/strong>\u00a0(LSU-Alexandria) will participate in the 2018 All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 24, at 7:30 pm (EST).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The game will be played at Homer Stryker Field in Kalamazoo, Michigan, home to the South Division\u2019s Kalamazoo Growlers.<\/p>\n

Larks\u2019 Field Manager Sean Repay<\/strong> and his staff will manage the North Division All-Star Game. The honor goes to the coaching staff of the team who wins the First Half Championships each season.<\/p>\n

To this point in the season, the Larks\u2019 selections have more than earned their votes:<\/p>\n

Farnell \u2013 .314 AVG, 37 hits, 17 runs, 4 home runs, 23 RBIs<\/p>\n

Reyes \u2013 .312 AVG, 44 hits, 32 runs, 10 doubles, 15 RBIs, 11 stolen bases<\/p>\n

Montes \u2013 .318 AVG, 35 hits, 22 runs, 11 RBIs, 6 stolen bases<\/p>\n

Rodriguez \u2013 1.67 ERA, 4-2 record, 43 K in 43 IP, 1.12 WHIP<\/p>\n
