BISMARCK, ND\u2013<\/strong> The Bismarck Larks lost 4-2 against the Mankato MoonDogs in a very long game that saw a total of 20 hits between the two teams combined. The Larks are now 36-29-1 overall and 11-18-1 in the second half.<\/p>\n

Zack Jones started on the mound for the Larks and gave up two runs through the first four innings and then gave up a two-run home run in the top of the 5th<\/sup> inning which gave Mankato a 4-0 lead.<\/p>\n

The Larks started chipping away after that, scoring one run in the bottom of the 5th<\/sup> inning when Ripken Reyes hit a triple into right-centerfield and then Mike Farnell hit a single to get the Larks on the board.<\/p>\n

In the bottom of the 6th<\/sup> inning, Carson Bartels hit a double down the left field line that scored Matt Warkentin to make it a 4-2 game.<\/p>\n

The Larks stranded 13 runners on the base paths in this afternoon\u2019s game and just weren\u2019t able to get that big hit against Mankato.<\/p>\n

The Larks lost 4-2 and are now 36-29-1 on the season and 11-18-1 in the second half. The Larks will be back in action tomorrow at 7:05 against the Mankato MoonDogs as they travel to Mankato. Catch all the action on http:\/\/mixlr.com\/larksbaseball\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n
