(Rochester, MN) The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the signing of 2009 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American, Zach Miller, from the University of Saint Louis.

Miller, a 6-foot, 190-pound sophomore infielder is currently hitting .286 with 5 doubles and 11 RBIs. He has started 27 of 29 games as the Billikens second baseman.

Sharif OthmanMiller was named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American last year after hitting .324 with 10 home runs and a team high 61 RBI, most ever by a freshman and fifth all time at SLU. He earned Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week honors on three occasions and as a senior in high school, Miller hit .444 with 29 RBIs and 15 extra-base hits. He earned All-GAC first-team honors and was named to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch All-Metro Team.

Saint Louis (15-14) travels to #10 Arkansas (22-6) Wednesday night for a mid-week single game, before returning home this weekend for a 3-game set versus Temple.

The Rochester Honkers 17th season begins on June 2nd when they travel to Mankato, MN for a 7:05pm start. Their home opener is Thursday, June 3rd against Mankato at Mayo Field starting at 7:05pm.
