(Rochester, MN) The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today that Danny Pulfer, a member of the 2009 NWL Championship Team, will return for his second season with the Rochester Honkers.

Pulfer is a 5-10, 190-pound sophomore infielder from the University of Oregon. He is currently hitting .309 with 21 RBIs. Pulfer is leading the squad in doubles (9), slugging pct. (.439), sacrifice bunts (8) and home runs (3). Pulfer has started every game for the 25-12 Oregon Ducks who are currently ranked #18 in the Nation.

Pulfer hit .257 with 5 doubles and 12 RBIs for the Honkers last summer. He was the team’s starting third baseman, taking over for Tony Thompson (Kansas) who left due to an injury.

The Oregon Ducks and their first ever Top 25 ranking, take on the USC Trojans this weekend at PK Park in Eugene, OR.

The Rochester Honkers 17th season begins on June 2nd when they travel to Mankato, MN for a 7:05pm start. Their home opener is Thursday, June 3rd against Mankato at Mayo Field starting at 7:05pm.
