(Madison, WI) The Madison Mallards are excited to announce Aaron Sims will return for a sixth season as the team’s booming-voiced P.A. Announcer, and seventh summer overall, as he began as the Mallards’ radio play-by-play guy in 2004. In 2005 and 2006 Sims served as both P.A. Announcer and  play-by-play radio broadcaster  for Mallards’ road games.

In addition to his contributions to the Mallards each season, Sims has served as the play-by-play broadcaster for the Milwaukee Admirals hockey team the last four years. He also oversees the Admirals’ sale of season and group tickets as their Ticket Sales Account Executive.

“We are excited to have Aaron back for his seventh season with the Mallards,” Mallards General Manager Conor Caloia said. “Aaron has become a staple of the fan experience at the Duck Pond. He is a top-level entertainer and one of the best in our business.”

Sims can’t wait to get started with Opening Day now only 14 days away.

“I’m really looking forward to the season; it’s always a lot of fun to see the players and the fans. I’m looking forward to this season more than any other,” said Sims.

Opening Day is slated for Wednesday, June 2, at 7:05 p.m. against the Wisconsin Woodchucks. Single-game and group tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online or by calling the box office at 608.246.4277.
