With the Northwoods League season ready to open in less than two weeks, the Border Cats have added five more players to the roster with the additions of outfielder David Fallon, infielder Brett Kay, outfielder/pitcher Casey Selsor as well as pitchers Aaron Burke and Logan Birr.

Fallon is a 5’11”, 190 pound lefthanded hitter from Glenview, IL., and is junior at Illinois State University. In 24 games with the Redbirds this season, Fallon is batting .302 with six doubles and seven runs batted in.

Kay is also from Illinois State, where he is in his sophomore season. The 5’11”, 160 pound native of Arlington Heights, IL has played in 23 games and is hitting .204 with three doubles and one RBI. Fallon and Kay are both teammates at Illinois State in Normal, IL., with former Cats infielder Ryan Court, who is finishing up his senior season with the Redbirds.

Selsor is a 6’3″, 180 pound lefthander pitcher and outfielder at the University of Texas-San Antonio. In 44 games, Selsor is batting .296 with two home runs and 15 RBI’s. On the mound, the junior from San Antonio has made 13 starts and is 4-5 with a 3.31 earned run average.

Burke, a 6’0″, 180 pound righthander is a junior at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC. The product of Shawnee, KS., has made 21 relief apperances this season and has an 0-2 record with a 4.07 ERA.

Birr played last season in the Northwoods League with the Willmar Stingers and is currently a junior at his hometown school, St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. The 6’4″, 200 pound righthander has pitched in 13 games this season and is 5-3 with a 2.04 earned run average. Birr appeared in 19 games last summer with Willmar and went 3-3 with a 5.14 ERA.
