The defending champion Mallards carried a two game winning streak into Wisconsin to face the winless (0-4) Woodchucks but ran into a wall against starter Seth Davis. Davis, a 5-10 lefty from Augustana, went seven shutout innings with nine strikeouts while allowing just one hit and walking one.

Davis threw 89 pitches, 55 of which were strikes. He faced 25 batters, striking out almost a third of them.

The Woodchucks are back in action against the Mallards tomorrow night at Athletic Park, first pitch coming at 5:05 PM.
