Tonight's Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night is Duluth left-hander and Southeast Missouri St sophomore Alex Winkelman. Winkelman was dominant and earned the win for the Huskies, who beat Rochester 7-2.
Winkelman had struggled against the Honkers the first time around, but he adjusted and struck out 11 over six one-run innings- a run that wasn't earned. He allowed just five hits and didn't walk one.
He lowered his ERA to 1.54 over 11.2 innings of work with 16 strikeouts.
