Saturday's Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night is Duluth southpaw Alex Winkelman, a sophomore from Southeast Missouri St. Winkelman threw six plus excellent innings and the Huskies pulled away late to down Green Bay, 4-2.
Winkelman went 6 2/3 and didn't allow an earned run (two runs) on five hits with six strikeouts. His ERA over five starts and 27 1/3 innings is 1.97 while he has a 6-to-1 strikeout/walk ratio.
