Friday's Player of the Night is Eau Claire shortstop and leadoff man Peter Van Gansen, a sophomore from Cal Poly. Van Gansen and the Express scored 18 runs and picked up 16 hits in an 18-11 slugfest win over Alexandria.
Van Gansen led the charge, going 3-5 with a team-high six RBIs while scoring three times. He also added a pair of walks and a home run as he reached base five times in total. He raised his season average to .257 and brought his RBI total to 23 and his runs scored total to 26.
