Thursday's Player of the Night is Mankato shortstop Peter Maris, a junior from UC Santa Barbara. Maris and the MoonDogs pounded Rochester, 19-3, behind 18 hits and five RBIs from their cleanup hitter.
Maris went 3-5 with a triple, a walk and five RBIs. He also scored three times and is hitting .332 on the year with 41 RBIs. Maris has one more walk then strikeout (18-17) through 46 games and has scored 25 times. He was a member of both the All-Star Game and Big League Dreams showcase.
