The Eau Claire Express recorded 12 hits and defeated the Willmar Stingers 12-5 on Sunday. Express rightfielder Daulton Varsho (UW-Milwaukee) hit 3-for-3 with a pair of walks, scored four runs and knocked in three more in the victory to be named the Northwoods League Position Player of the Night award. He extended his league-leading home run total to five in the first six games of the season with a three-run shot in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Varsho and the Express will play on the road on Monday night at 7:05 against the La Crosse Loggers at Copeland Park.
