The Lakeshore Chinooks outlasted the Battle Creek Bombers 2-1 in a pitcher's duel won by Lakeshore starter Cole Gnetz (Miami-Ohio). The freshman righty from Woodbury, Minnesota threw seven scoreless innings and allowed just one hit and two walks with nine strikeouts on the night. Gnetz earned Monday's Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night in his third start of the season.
Lakeshore will be on the road tomorrow night against La Crosse at 7:05.
