The Mankato MoonDogs used a seven-run seventh inning to defeat the Duluth Huskies 15-5 at home on Monday night. Mankato leadoff hitter and third baseman David Metzgar (Cal St. Bakersfield) finished 5-for-6 at the plate with four RBI and three runs scored to be named the Northwoods League Player of the Night.
Mankato will host the Kalamazoo Growlers on Tuesday night at 7:05.
