The Eau Claire Express tripled the score of the Thunder Bay Border Cats in a 9-3 home victory on Tuesday night. Eau Claire second baseman Sam Hurt (Kent State) hit 2-for-4 on the night with a run scored and five RBI, including a three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to put the game out of reach. He was named the Northwoods League Player of the Night.
Eau Claire will host Thunder Bay on Wednesday night at 6:35.
