The Thunder Bay Border Cats beat the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 2-1 home victory in 10 innings. Thunder Bay starting pitcher Gunnar Kay (Jefferson College) had a big night on the mound for the Border Cats. Kay was named the Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night, as he threw 8 1/3 innings and gave up one run on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts in a no decision.
Thunder Bay will host Wisconsin Rapids on Sunday night at 5:05.
