The Rockford Rivets hit three home runs on Sunday to beat the Willmar Stingers 9-4 on the road. Rockford's shortstop Jordan Hovey (Missouri State) connected on one of the homers for the Rivets and finished 1-for-4 with a walk, three RBI and a run scored on a three-run shot to be named the Northwoods League Player of the Night.
Rockford will play the Madison Mallards in a doubleheader on Monday.
