The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters won Game 1 of the Summer Collegiate World Series 5-4 against the Eau Claire Express thanks to a walk-off home run hit by catcher Rob Calabrese (Illinois-Chicago). His two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning won the game for the Rafters, and he finished 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBI, one run scored and a walk to be named the Northwoods League Player of the Night.
Wisconsin Rapids will play Eau Claire on the road Friday night at 6:35.
