The St. Cloud Rox are now one win away from taking the Northwoods League Summer Collegiate World Series. They took the lead early, but Battle Creek tied it up and then the Rox retook the lead for good in the bottom half of the seventh which led to their two-run victory.

Battle Creek 5, St. Cloud 7

The St. Cloud Rox scored the go-ahead run to put them ahead for good in the seventh as they defeated the Battle Creek Bombers 7-5. The Rox got on the board in the second inning with two as Angelo Altavilla (Nebraska) doubled in two and he scored later while Ricardo Sanchez (Arkansas-Pine Bluff) knocked in one from a ground out. St. Cloud got one more in the third when Cameron Eden (California) hit an RBI single. Battle Creek tied it up in the top half of the seventh which started from two wild pitches and a Tom Stoffel (Virginia Tech) RBI single. He then scored the fifth run later from an error. With one out in the bottom half, Sanchez went deep for the go-ahead and one more scored from an error. Brent Killam (Georgetown) then threw the final 1.1, picked up the save and put the Rox within one game of a Championship.
