Brett Newberg (Austin Peay) earned pitcher of the night after throwing a complete game shutout against Eau Claire. After allowing a hit in the opening inning, Newberg retired the next 11 batters in a row before he allowed a walk in the fifth while stranding him. He then retired the remaining 14 batters in-order after a little help from his defense picking up a few double plays. His night ended with just three hits and one walk while striking out six for his third win of the season.
