Rockford went to extra innings with Battle Creek and the Rivets got their win from an RBI single. The La Crosse knocked off St. Cloud in the bottom of the ninth from a walk-off home run.

 

Madison 5, Wisconsin 2

The Madison Mallards used a big eighth and ninth inning to go ahead and defeat the Wisconsin Woodchucks 5-2. Madison got on the board in the third from an RBI single by Jake Snider (Louisville). Trevor Boone (Oklahoma State) added another with a lead off home run in the fifth. The Chucks got one in the sixth from an error and then tied it in the seventh when Nick Loftin (Baylor) doubled in a run. Jake Randa (NW Florida State) went deep for two in the eighth to give Madison the lead and one more in the ninth gave the Mallards enough to win the game.

Wisconsin Rapids 3, Fond du Lac 2

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters went ahead in the seventh inning and defeated the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 3-2. Rapids scored right away in the opening inning with two from a single by Jack-Thomas Wold (UNLV). Fondy tied it up in the second when Alex Henwood (Nebraska) hit an RBI single and later scored. Chandler Greenfield (Dixie State) threw three innings in relief for Rapids and earned his second win of the season. That became the case when Ty Duvall (Vanderbilt) knocked in a run from a single. Late innings guy Mason McReaken (SIUE) pitched the ninth inning, allowed just a walk with two strikeouts for his second save.

Thunder Bay 4, Duluth 6

The Duluth Huskies used a big seventh inning to take the lead and defeat the Thunder Bay Border Cats 6-4. The Huskies got their first in the opening inning from an RBI fielder’s choice. Duluth got two more in the second which started with Nicholas Sogard (Loyola-Marymount) knocking in a run from a single. Troy Newell (Western Kentucky) threw five, gave up just one hit, six walks while striking out four. The Border Cats did tie it up in the sixth when Garrett Saunders (Central) knocked in two from a double and later scored. The Huskies took the lead in the seventh with three which was powered by an RBI single by Justin Mitchell (Oklahoma). Thunder Bay got one unearned run in the ninth, but the next guy struck out to end the game.

Battle Creek 2, Rockford 3 (11 Innings)

The Rockford Rivets and Battle Creek Bombers traded runs in the fourth, but the Rivets were able to walk it off in the 11th 3-2. The Bombers got their two in the fourth from a wild pitch and a sacrifice. The Rivets then managed to tie It in the bottom half from two RBI singles. Rockford got Tyler Thornton (Faulkner) to throw three out of the bullpen, allowed just one walk while striking out four. Luke Anderson (Missouri) retired six straight while striking out one to set himself up for the win. Then in the bottom of the 11th with two on and two out, Joe Butler (Illinoi Sate) hit a walk-off single to give Rockford the win.

Eau Claire 0, Mankato 6

The Mankato MoonDogs got a complete game shutout out of Brett Newberg (Austin Peay) for a 6-0 win over the Eau Claire Express. Mankato scored three right away in the opening inning which was started from Zac Wiley (Bellarmine) knocking in two from a double. Jake Shepski (Xavier) knocked in one in the fifth and then another came home in the eighth. Newberg improved to 3-0 for Mankato, three-hit the Express, gave up just one walk while striking out six batters.

St. Cloud 4, La Crosse 5

The La Crosse Loggers walked it off in the bottom of the ninth and defeated the St. Cloud Rox 5-4. The Loggers got on the board in the opening inning with one. Another run scored on a wild pitch in the third and then again in the sixth. The Rox took the lead in the seventh with four which was capped off by Bobby Seymour (Wake Forest) knocking in half by a double. The Loggers tied it from an RBI single in the seventh from Shane McGuire (San Diego). Then to lead off the bottom of the ninth, McGuire sent the Loggers home a winner with a walk-off home run.

Kenosha 3, Kalamazoo 9

The Kalamazoo Growlers used two three-run innings and defeated the Kenosha Kingfish 9-3. The Growlers scored three right away in the first from two bases loaded walks and an RBI single by Sam Crail (Indiana). Kenosha tied it in the third which started from Mike Madej (NW Florida State) knocking in a run from a single. Kalamazoo got their three back in the bottom half which started from Crail knocking in another run. Kalamazoo scored once more in the fifth and then twice in the sixth when Jonathan Foster (Florida State) went deep. Jeff Burch (Kalamazoo Valley CC) threw three key innings out of the bullpen, allowed just two hits and one walk while striking out four to preserve the win.

Waterloo 0, Willmar 11

The Willmar Stingers used a big third inning which helped them defeat the Waterloo Bucks 11-0. The Stingers started scoring right away in the first with one. Willmar got five in the third when two came from an error and Caleb Ricca (Northwestern State) went deep to bring the other three in. Nic Hernandez (Cal Poly Pomona) knocked in three from a double in the sixth while two more scored in the eighth from an error. Corey Binger (Minnesota State) started, threw seven and got the win for Willmar while Dylan Oliver (Alabama) threw the final two to secure the big win.

Lakeshore 4, Green Bay 5

The Green Bay Bullfrogs used a pair of runs in the first and third in their 5-4 victory over the Lakeshore Chinooks. The Frogs got a pair in the bottom of the first from Eddy Gonzalez (Incarnate Word) hitting a single. Lakeshore got one in the third, but the Frogs responded with two more including another one knocked in by Gonzalez. The Chinooks came within in one in the sixth, but Green Bay countered once again in the bottom half. Lakeshore got one in the eighth inning, but Travis Kuhn (San Diego) came in the ninth for the Frogs and converted his fourth save.

Rochester 1, Bismarck 6

The Bismarck Larks scored all their runs in the first two innings which was enough to defeat the Rochester Honkers 6-1. The Larks got four in the first when Tristen Carranza (New Mexico State) knocked in two from a double, another scored on an error and one more followed. The Honkers got one in the second on an error, but Bismarck got two more in the bottom half which was capped off by Carranza knocking in another. Hendry Rodriguez (LSU-Alexandria) threw seven for Bismarck, allowed just one run on three hits and three walks while striking out seven. Zak Devermann (Illinois) threw six and just got shelled in two innings, but never got the run support as the Larks bullpen shut the door on the Honkers.
