The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders threw a complete game shutout with Connor Cook and defeated the Duluth Huskies to come within a game from winning the Summer Collegiate World Series.

Connor Cook (UW-La Crosse) threw a complete game shutout for the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders in their game one 3-0 win over the Duluth Huskies. Cook threw all nine innings. He allowed just three hits while striking out seven for his first win. All three runs came in the fifth. Alex Henwood (Nebraska) scored on a wild pitch and Cole Zabowski (Ole Miss) knocked in two from a single. Callan Johnson (Lubbock Christian) threw 2.2 scoreless and Jason Braziel (Friends) threw the final inning for the Huskies, but the offense couldn’t get anything.
