Traverse City Pit Spitters Kyle Jones (University of Toledo) received pitcher of the night after the teams shut out win against the Rockford Rivets. The final score was 2-0. Jones shut out the Rivets by pitching all nine innings. His outstanding performance gave up no runs, two hits, and five strike outs. Jones’ current ERA is 1.69.
The Traverse City Pit Spitters play the Rockford Rivets again tomorrow June 17 at 7:05 pm.
