The Traverse City Pit Spitters won against the Battle Creek Bombers starting off the night strong with an ending score 6-1. The Thunder Bay Border Cats defeated the Mankato MoonDogs in a ten inning battle with a final score 3-2. The Duluth Huskies and La Crosse Loggers had a long ten inning game tonight, but the Huskies came on top with a final score shut out 2-0. 

Lakeshore Chinooks 3, Wisconsin Woodchucks 8

The Wisconsin Woodchucks crushed the Lakeshore Chinooks during tonights game. The final score was 8-3. The Woodchucks had a strong seventh inning scoring four runs to capture the lead and take the win over the Chinooks. Kenny Rodriguez (Seminole State College FL) and Angel Tiburcio (FIU) received one home run each. Rodriguez also hit one double and four RBI for Wisconsin. The winning pitcher was Colson Geisler (Texas AM University) and the losing pitcher was Mitchell DeCovich (Central Arizona). 

Madison Mallards 9, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 5

The Madison Mallards rallied for the win over the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders tonight with a final score 9-5. Madison came out of the gates swinging scoring four runs during the top of the first to take the lead. Justice Bigbie (Western Carolina) received two doubles and three RBI for Madison. Another great performance, was by Ben Anderson (Georgia) hitting one triple. The winning pitcher was Mallards Brain Weissert (Fordham University) with no runs and no hits during his two innings at the mound. The losing pitcher was Jonathan Cowles (Colorado-Colorado Springs). 

Eau Claire Express 3, Waterloo Bucks 2

The Eau Claire Express beat the Waterloo Bucks in a close game 3-2. The Express rallied and scored the winning one run during the top of the ninth inning. Waterloo’s Dylan Phillips (Kansas State) and Alex Ronnebaum (Kent State) both received one RBI each. For the Express, David LaManna (Notre Dame) hit one double. The winning pitcher was Tanner Kohlhepp (Tennessee) who pitched a solid seven innings with one run, four hits, and seven strike outs. Nick Herold (Winona) swooped in for the save for the Eau Claire Express. The losing pitcher was Waterloo’s Daniel Colwell (UCLA). 

Kenosha Kingfish 4, Rockford Rivets 6

The Rockford Rivets beat the Kenosha Kingfish with a ending game score of 6-4. The Kingfish scored three runs in the top of the ninth but it was not enough to catch up to Rockford. Rivets Jake VanderWal (Long Beach State) received a double hit and three RBI. The winning pitcher was Trevin Eubanks (Valdosta State) with no runs, no hits, and two strike outs during his one inning of work. The losing pitcher was Kenosha’s Keith Kutzler (Wisconsin-Whitewater).

The Traverse City Pit Spitters defeated the Battle Creek Bombers with a final score 6-1. The Pit Spitters had ten hits and six runs throughout tonights game. Andrew Morrow (Michigan State) hit one home run and five RBI from Traverse City. Battle Creek’s Michael Morrissette (Miami (OH)) had one RBI. The winning pitcher of the game was Kevin Hahn (CSU-Stanislaus) who pitched three innings with no runs and two hits. Bombers losing pitcher was Josh Hranicky (Lamar). 

Rochester Honkers 7, Willmar Stingers 2

The Rochester Honkers demolished the Willmar Stingers tonight with a solid ninth inning scoring four runs to grab the win. The final score was 7-2. Stingers Andrew Lucas (CSU-Northridge) hit one home run along with one RBI. Zack Zalesky (Oregon State University) had one home run, one double, and four RBI for the Honkers. The winning pitcher was Rochester’s Landon Anderson (Cal State Fullerton) who pitched a strong seven innings with no runs, five hits, and seven strike outs. The losing pitcher was Willmar’s Bradley Kinsey (Pittsburg State).  

Mankato MoonDogs 2, Thunder Bay Border Cats 3

The Thunder Bay Border Cats won against the Mankato MoonDogs in a close and extended inning battle. The final score was 3-2. Thunder Bay’s Jake Engel (Dixie State University (UT)) had one home run and two RBI. The MoonDogs Josh Elvir (Angelo State) hit one double and one RBI during tonights game. The winning pitcher was Cats Ryan Windham (Creighton University) who pitched two innings with no runs and no hits. The losing pitcher was Reece Calvert (Western Kentucky). 

Duluth Huskies 2, La Crosse Loggers 0

The Duluth Huskies rose to the top over the La Crosse Loggers after the teams ten inning battle game. The game was scoreless until the Huskies scored two runs in the top of the tenth inning to take the win. The final score was a shut out 2-0. Carter Putz (Notre Dame) and Tyler Lozano (USC) each had one RBI for Duluth. Putz also contributed one double hit. The winning pitcher was Keaton Carattini (Michigan) pitching two innings with no runs and two hits for the Duluth Huskies. The losing pitcher was Loggers Jack Filby (UCLA). 

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 4, Green Bay Booyah 6

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters were defeated by the Green Bay Booyah with a final score 6-4. Green Bay had six runs and eight hits total during tonights game. Rafters CJ Willis (LSU) hit one double and one RBI. For Green Bay, Nick Kreutzer (Arkansas Pine Bluff) had two RBI and Blaise Maris (Florida Tech) received one double. The winning pitcher was Booyah Luke Wallner (Arkansas Little Rock) and Tanner Lane (Pittsburg State) came in for the save during the last inning. The losing pitcher was Wisconsin’s Zack Hunsicker (UCF). 

St. Cloud Rox 8, Bismarck Larks 2

The St. Cloud Rox beat the Bismarck Larks 8-2 during tonights game. The Rox had a strong top of the sixth scoring three runs bridging the score gap between the Larks. Hance Smith (California-Berkeley) received one triple hit along with one RBI. Another impressive game was by Cam Kline (Minnesota State Mankato) with two RBI for St. Cloud. The winning pitcher was Rox Trevor Koenig (St. Cloud State) pitching a solid six innings with six strike outs and two runs. The losing pitcher was Eric Hildebrand (Jackson College) from Bismarck. 

Kalamazoo Growlers, Kokomo Jackrabbits

Tonight’s doubleheader in Kalamazoo between the Growlers and the Jackrabbits has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions. Kalamazoo and Kokomo will now play doubleheaders on July 5 and 6 in Kalamazoo starting at 5:05 both nights. All games will be seven innings.
