The Kenosha Kingfish and Kokomo Jackrabbits started the afternoon off with a solid game. The Kingfish crushed the Jackrabbits with a final score of 13-9 with a strong performance by Brendan Hueth (Saint Josephs University). The Kalamazoo Growlers dominated the Battle Creek Bombers with an ending game score of 8-3. The Growlers winning pitcher was Spencer Juergens (University of Missouri) had an impressive performance pitching all nine innings. The Duluth Huskies crushed the Waterloo Bucks with a final score of 8-4. The Huskies scored four home runs each from Kyle Jacobsen (Hillsborough CC), Alex Tappen (Virginia), Danny Zimmerman (University of Michigan), and Niko Lima. 

Willmar Stingers 6, Bismarck Larks 2

The Willmar Stingers shut down the Bismarck Larks with an ending game score of 6-2. The Stingers had a total of six runs and eleven hits throughout todays game. Brody Tanksley (Indiana University-Southeast) hit one home run and two RBI for the Larks. Stingers Chase Stanke (Minnesota) received one double and three RBI. The winning pitcher was John Bezdicek (Southwest Minnesota State) who pitched a strong six innings with no runs and seven strike out. The saving pitcher was Casey Dykstra (Azusa Pacific) for Willmar. The losing pitcher was Bismarck’s Drew Mesecher (West Texas AM) who pitched six strike outs during his six innings at work. 

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 4, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 6

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters lost against the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders ending this afternoons game with a close score of 6-4. The Spiders had a total of six runs and twelve hits during the game. Fond du Lac’s Sam Novitske (Oregon) and Zack Prajzner (Notre Dame) received one double and one RBI. Aaron Funk (Arkansas-Little Rock) was the winning pitcher who pitched six innings with two runs, three hits, and nine strike outs. The saving pitcher of the game was Spiders Andrew Neu (Madison) while the losing pitcher was Rafters Nathan Hammerling (Lakeland). 

Kenosha Kingfish 13, Kokomo Jackrabbits 9

The Kenosha Kingfish demolished the Kokomo Jackrabbits with a solid final score of 13-9. The Kokomo Jackrabbits had a strong first inning scoring seven runs but it was not enough to defeat the Kingfish. Kingfish Brendan Hueth (Saint Josephs University) hit two doubles along with three RBI during this afternoons game. Jackrabbits Hagan Severance (Belmont) had two RBI and one double. The winning pitcher was Tanner Fallon (Loras College) who pitched three innings giving up one run and one hit. The losing pitcher was Kokomo’s Chase Nix (Arkansas State). 

Duluth Huskies 8, Waterloo Bucks 4

The Duluth Huskies won against the Waterloo Bucks with an ending score of 8-4. The Huskies scored five runs in the top of the fourth inning to capture the lead from the Bucks. Kyle Jacobsen (Hillsborough CC), Alex Tappen (Virginia), Danny Zimmerman (University of Michigan), and Niko Lima all hit home runs from Duluth. Zimmerman and Lima also had two RBI each during tonights game. The winning pitcher was Ricky Reynoso (University of the Pacific) who pitched five innings with three runs and seven strike outs. Huskies Owen Meaney (Texas) was the saving pitcher of the game while the losing pitcher was Waterloo’s Jack Parkinson (Rutgers).  

Mankato MoonDogs 1, Eau Claire Express 2

The Eau Claire Express rallied over the Mankato MoonDogs during the tenth innings with a close final score of 2-1. Mankato’s Tanner Craig (Evansville) hit one double during todays game. The Express Sam Kohnle (Winona State) and Matt Bottcher (Illinois- Chicago) scored one RBI each. The winning pitcher was Eau Claire’s Race Finck (Illinois- Springfield) who pitched five innings with no runs and one hit. The winning pitcher was MoonDogs Sean Ross (Indiana State University). 

Green Bay Booyah 0, Wisconsin Woodchucks 3

The Green Bay Booyah shut out the Wisconsin Woodchucks with an ending game score of 3-0. The Woodchucks scored their three runs in the bottom of the third inning to steal the lead from the Booyah. Wisconsin’s TJ Reeves (University of Alabama) and Brandon Seltzer (Palm Beach Atlantic) both had one RBI and one double. Jose Varela (FIU) was the winning pitcher of the game who gave up no runs and had seven strike outs during his seven innings of work. The saving pitcher was Joey Hennessey (Palm Beach Atlantic) with no runs and no hits while the losing pitcher was Chris Jefferson (New Mexico State). 

Battle Creek Bombers 3, Kalamazoo Growlers 8

The Kalamazoo Growlers beat the Battle Creek Bombers with an ending game score of 8-3. The Growlers had a consistent third and fourth inning scoring three runs each to capture the win over the Bombers. Cooper Trinkle (John A. Logan College) hit one home run along with one RBI. Growlers Mike Rodriquez (Texas AM University) scored one home run and one RBI. The winning pitcher was Spencer Juergens (University of Missouri) who gave up three runs and eight strike outs during his nine innings at the mound. The losing pitcher was Battle Creek’s Blaine Parker (Panola College). 

Thunder Bay Border Cats, St. Cloud Rox 

Tonight’s game in St. Cloud between the Rox and the Border Cats has been postponed due to weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader in Thunder Bay on August 10 starting at 5:35. Both games will be seven innings and the Border Cats will be the home team in game one and the Rox will be the home team in game two.

Rochester Honkers 7, La Crosse Loggers 14

The La Crosse Loggers demolished the Rochester Honkers with an ending game score of 14-7. The Loggers crushed the seventh inning scoring six runs to bridge the score further and further. A.J. Miller (University of Oregon) hit one home run along with two RBI for the Rochester. La Crosse JT Schwartz (UCLA) received one double and two RBI. The winning pitcher was Loggers Hanan Mauldin (Birmingham Southern) who pitched two innings with one run and two hits. The losing pitcher was Honkers Marc Bisogno (Fordham University). 

Madison Mallards 5, Lakeshore Chinooks 7

The Madison Mallards lost against the Lakeshore Chinooks with an ending game score of 7-5. The Chinooks had a total of seven runs along with twelve hits during tonights game. Jake Thompson (Kentucky) and Trent Bauer (Western Illinois) both had one home run while Griffin Doersching (Northern Kentucky) hit two home runs for the Chinooks. Doersching also received three RBI throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Bailey Vuylsteke (Miami-Ohio) who gave up two runs and two hits during his three innings of work. Lakeshore’s Luke Sommerfeld (Clemson) was the games saving pitcher and the losing pitcher as Mallards Trevor Marreel (Washburn University). 

Rockford Rivets 4, Traverse City Pit Spitters 6

Traverse City Pit Spitters pulled through in the bottom of the eighth inning scoring two runs to sneak past the Rockford Rivets for the win. The final score was a close 6-4. Rockford’s Tom Josten (Central Florida) hit one home run along with three RBI for the game. Pit Spitters Michael Slaten (Benedictine College) had two RBI and one double. The winning pitcher of the game was Kevin Hahn (CSU-Stanislaus) who gave up no runs and one hit during his two inning period. The saving pitcher was Traverse Cities Will Buraconak (Indiana State) and the losing pitcher was Rockford’s Adrian Santiago (Webster).
