The Mankato MoonDogs and the St. Cloud Rox started the night off with a close battle ending game #1 of the double header series 8-7. Dan Fernandez (Nova Southeastern University) and Tanner Craig (Evansville) scored one home run each, Fernandez also received five RBI for the MoonDogs. The St. Cloud Rox defeated the Mankato MoonDogs splitting the doubleheader after winning game #1. The ending game score was a solid 7-1. The Rochester Honkers demolished the Bismarck Larks with an ending game score of 21-9. A solid performance was by Rochester’s A.J. Miller (University of Oregon) who hit two home runs and eight RBI. 

Duluth Huskies 10, Waterloo Bucks 7 (Game #1) 

The Duluth Huskies won against the Waterloo Bucks with a solid score of 10-7 during game #1 of the series. The Huskies had an impressive third inning scoring six runs to dominated and begin the win over the Bucks. Duluth’s first four batters each had two-hit games as Channy Ortiz also logged a couple of base. Duluth followed them up with a two-out triple from Aaron Greenfield in the top half of the 9th for their 10th run that would be the final run scored. Jack Corbell finished off the Bucks in the bottom of the 9th. 

Duluth Huskies 6, Waterloo Bucks 2 (Game #2)

The Duluth Huskies beat the Waterloo Bucks during game #2 of the teams doubleheader series. The final score was 6-2. The Huskies had a total of six runs and seven hits throughout tonights game. Duluth’s Channy Ortiz (Yakupai College) scored two RBI and one double. Another solid performance was by teammate Matt Hogan (Vanderbilt) with one double and one RBI. The winning pitcher was Cole Milam (Southern Ill. Edsville) who pitched four innings with one run and eight strike outs. The losing pitcher was Waterloo’s Noah Conlon (UC- San Diego). 

St. Cloud Rox 7, Mankato MoonDogs 8 (Game #1) 

The St. Cloud Rox were defeated by the Mankato MoonDogs in a close battle ending the game with a final score of 8-7. The MoonDogs came out of the gates strong scoring three runs in the first inning and four runs in the second. Rox Jordan Barth (Augustana University) and Ben Carew (Kent State University) both hit home runs and two RBI during tonight game. Adan Fernandez (Nova Southeastern University) and Tanner Craig (Evansville) scored one home run each, Fernandez also received five RBI for the MoonDogs. The winning pitcher was Fabian Muniz (Angelo State) who pitched six innings who gave up six runs and five strike outs. Mankato’s Jack Pilcher (Butler) was the saving pitcher while St. Cloud’s losing pitcher was Rhyse Dee (Wake Forest University). 

St. Cloud Rox 7, Mankato MoonDogs 1 (Game #2)

The St. Cloud Rox came back during game #2 of their doubleheaders series against the Mankato MoonDogs. The games final score was 7-1. St. Cloud’s Jack Kelly (University of Minnesota) hit one home run and two RBI. Mankato’s Tanner Craig (Evansville) received one double along with one RBI during tonights game. The winning pitcher was Rox Alex Carrillo (Faulkner University) who pitched nine innings of work with one run and twelve strike outs. The losing pitcher was MoonDogs Shane Barringer (Bellarmine) who gave up four runs and striking out seven during his five innings at the mound.  

Thunder Bay Border Cats 3, La Crosse Loggers 11 (Game #1) 

The La Crosse Loggers crushed the Thunder Bay Border Cats with a final score of 11-3. The Loggers dominated the fourth inning scoring seven runs to capture the lead from the Border Cats. La Crosse’s Matthew Stinebiser (Duke) received one home run and four RBI during tonights game #1. Loggers Kyson Donahue (Arizona) hit one double and two RBI. The winning pitcher was Tristan Harvin (Birmingham Southern) with two runs, three hits, and six strike outs during his six innings at the mound. The losing pitcher was Thunder Bay’s DJ DePiero (Bradley University (IL)). 

Thunder Bay Border Cats 3, La Crosse Loggers 11 (Game #2)

Again the La Crosse Loggers dominated the Thunder Bay Border Cats during game #2 with a strong final score of 11-3. The Loggers hit a solid five runs during the third to take over the lead against the Border Cats. Tony Bullard (Arizona) had one double and three RBI for the Loggers. Another great performance was by Cody Jefferis (San Diego) with one double and two RBI. Loggers Joe Cliver (Viterbo) who pitched five innings with three runs and five strike outs becoming the games winning pitcher. The losing pitcher was Thunder Bay’s Kyle Wellman (Hendrix College).  

Willmar Stingers 5, Eau Claire Express 2

The Willmar Stingers defeated the Eau Claire Express with an ending game score of 5-2. The Stingers had a total of five runs and nine hits throughout todays game. Brennan McKenzie (Cal Poly Pamona) had one double and two RBI for Willmar. Eau Claire’s Matt Bottcher (Illinois-Chicago) received one double and one RBI. The winning pitcher was Stingers Polo Portela (Cumberland) who pitched five innings with one run and three strike outs. The saving pitcher was Aldo Fernandez (New Mexico State) while the losing pitcher was Nick Alvarado (Illinois-Springfield). 

Bismarck Larks 9, Rochester Honkers 21

The Rochester Honkers demolished the Bismarck Larks with an ending game score of 21-9. The Honkers had a total of twenty-one runs and eighteen hits during tonights game. Zack Gregory (Arkansas), Jack Chernow (Columbia), and Ty Hanchey (Norfolk State) hit one home run along with two RBI each for Bismarck. Rochester’s A.J. Miller (University of Oregon) and Ryan Ober (Oregon State University) both scored two home runs each. Miller also received eight RBI. The winning pitcher was Mike Lopez (Cal State San Marcos) who pitched a solid six innings with seven runs and three strike outs. The losing pitcher was Larks Corey Treyes (Coppin State).
