The Kalamazoo Growlers and Kokomo Jackrabbits started off the night with a solid first game of the teams doubleheader. The final score was 10-2 during game #1. The Growlers captured the win over the game #2 with ending game score of 3-2. A strong pitching performance was by Eamon Horwedel (Ohio University) who pitched a solid three innings with no runs and eight strike outs. The Eau Claire Express defeated the Bismarck Larks with a solid final score of 6-3. Bismarck’s Wyatt Ulrich (St. Johns (MN)) hit one home run, one double, one triple, and three RBI.

Kokomo Jackrabbits 2, Kalamazoo Growlers 10 (Game #1) 

The Kalamazoo Growlers dominated the Kokomo Jackrabbits with a final score of 10-2 during the teams first game of the doubleheader. The Growlers had a total of ten runs and ten hits throughout tonights game. Shea Kramer (University of Utah) hit three RBI and Jake Topolski (Duke University) received two RBI and one double for Kalamazoo. The winning pitcher was Alex McCutcheon (Huntington University) who pitched four innings with two runs and four strike outs. Growlers DJ Moore (Huntington University) came in for the save, pitching three innings while the losing pitcher was Jackrabbits Jacob Moskowitz (Palomar College). 

Kokomo Jackrabbits 2, Kalamazoo Growlers 3 (Game #2)

The Kalamazoo Growlers defeated the Kokomo Jackrabbits during a close game #2 of the doubleheader. The ending game score was 3-2. The Growlers pulled through in the bottom of the sixth innings scoring one run for the win. Shea Kramer (University of Utah), Nick Neville (University of South Carolina), and Joel Brewer (University of South Carolina) all had one RBI for Kalamazoo. The games winning pitcher was Eamon Horwedel (Ohio University) who pitched a solid three innings with no runs and eight strike outs. The losing pitcher was Jackrabbits David Reckers (CSU Bakersfield) with three runs and four strike outs during his six innings of work. 

Battle Creek Bombers 6, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 15

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders demolished the Battle Creek Bombers with an ending game score of 15-6. The Spiders rallied in the first scoring four runs to capture the initial lead over the Bombers. Battle Creek’s Jorge Gutierrez (Lamar) hit three RBI and one double. Fond du Lac’s Tate Kolwyck (Vanderbilt) received four RBI and one double during tonights game. The winning pitcher was Jared Jones (Saint Xavier University) who pitched six innings with five runs and two strike outs. The losing pitcher was Battle Creek’s Keith Carpenter (Maryland Eastern Shore).  

Kenosha Kingfish 6, Wisconsin Woodchucks 5

The Kenosha Kingfish won against the Wisconsin Woodchucks with a final score of 6-5. The Woodchucks rallied scoring two runs during the eighth innings but it was not enough to steal the win over Kenosha. Kingfish’s Jake Cosgrove (University of California-Irvine) had one home run along with one RBI during tonights game. Woodchucks Byron Murray (Lynn University) received one triple and two RBI. The winning pitcher was Jonah Landowski (Marian University) who gave up no runs and six strike outs during his six innings at the mound. The saving pitcher was Jacob DeLabio (Carthage College) while the losing pitcher was Wisconsin’s Nick Vanderhoef (Barry University). 

Waterloo Bucks 3, Duluth Huskies 4

The Duluth Huskies beat the Waterloo Bucks during a close game ending with a final score of 4-3. The Huskies had a solid seventh innings scoring three runs to win over the Bucks. Waterloo’s Ethan Copeland (Notre Dame) hit one double and one RBI. Joey Zwak (St. Scholastica) received two RBI and Nico Lima (Oxnard) had one double for Duluth. The games winning pitcher was Erik Kaiser (Vanderbilt) who pitched two innings with one run and three strike outs. The Huskies Cole Milam (Southern Ill. Edsville) came in for the save and the losing pitcher was Bucks Jimmy Smiley (Columbia). 

Rochester Honkers 8, St. Cloud Rox 4

The Rochester Honkers crushed the St. Cloud Rox with an ending game score of 8-4. The Honkers started off the first few innings scoring four runs to begin their lead over the Rox. Rochester’s Zack Zalesky (Oregon State University) received three RBI and one double. Another strong performance was by Evan Berkey (Cal State Bakersfield) who had two RBI. The games winning pitcher was Rochester’s Marty Tolson Jr. (Maryland-Eastern Shore) who pitched six innings giving up two runs and five strike outs. The losing pitcher was St. Cloud’s Nick Desalvo (LIU Brooklyn).  

Madison Mallards 4, Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 2

The Madison Mallards beat the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters with a final score of 4-2. The Mallards had a total of four runs and eleven hits throughout tonights battle. Nicholas Figus (Illinois Wesleyan) hit one double and one RBI from Madison. Wisconsin’s Anthony Galason (Elon University) received two RBI and one double. Leon Davidson (NC AT) was the games winning pitcher who gave up no runs and five strike outs during his two innings at the mound. The saving pitcher was Theo Denlinger (Bradley) while the losing pitcher was Rafters Hayden Petrovick (UC Riverside). 

Bismarck Larks 3, Eau Claire Express 6

The Eau Claire Express won against the Bismarck Larks with an ending game score of 6-3. The Express’ had a total of six runs and seven hits throughout todays game. Bismarck’s Wyatt Ulrich (St. Johns (MN)) hit one home run, one double, one triple, and three RBI. Alec Trela (Memphis) received one home run and two RBI for Eau Claire. The games winning pitcher was Medin Milla (Dominican University) who pitched a solid seven innings with three runs and six strike outs for the Express. Nick Alvarado (Illinois- Springfield) swooped in for the saving pitch while the losing pitcher was Larks Matt Warkentin (Xavier).  

Thunder Bay Border Cats 1, La Crosse Loggers 8

The La Crosse Loggers beat the Thunder Bay Border Cats with a final score of 8-1. The Loggers started the night off strong scoring three runs during the bottom of the first inning to capture the win over the Border Cats. La Crosse’s Ryan Holgate (Arizona) hit one home run along with two RBI. Another strong performance was by teammate Kyson Donahue (Arizona) with one double and one RBI. Steve Bowley (Shepherd) was the games winning pitcher who gave up one run and three strike outs during his six innings of work. The losing pitcher was Thunder Bay’s Kyle Wellman (Hendrix College (AR)). 

Rockford Rivets 7, Traverse City Pit Spitters 11

The Traverse City Pit Spitters dominated the Rockford Rivets with a strong second inning scoring six runs to win against the Rivets. The games final score was 11-7. Rockford’s Matt Higgins (Bellarmine) hit two home runs and three RBI. Traverse Cities Adam Proctor (Michigan State) received one home run along with three RBI during tonights game. The games winning pitcher was Chase Gearing (Saginaw Valley State) who pitched two innings with four runs and five hits for the Pit Spitters. The losing pitcher was Rockford’s Colin Kelly (St. Francis (IL)). 

Lakeshore Chinooks 1, Green Bay Booyah 4

The Lakeshore Chinooks lost against the Green Bay Booyah with an ending game score of 4-1. The Booyah had a total of four runs and ten hits throughout tonights close battle. Cooper Morrison (UC Davis) and Blaise Maris (Florida Tech) received one RBI each for Green Bay. The winning pitcher was Logan Lee (Northwoods) who pitched five innings with one run and one strike out for the Booyah. Nick Riggle (California (PA)) was the saving pitcher who pitched four innings giving up one run and five strike outs. The losing pitcher was Chinooks Jacob Schellpfeffer (Ellsworth College). 

Willmar Stingers 6, Mankato MoonDogs 5

The Willmar Stingers and Mankato MoonDogs rallied during an three extra innings game with the Stingers coming out on top. The final score was 6-5. The Stingers pulled through in the top of the twelve scoring the winning run against the MoonDogs. Willmar’s Justin King (Alabama) hit two RBI. The games winning pitcher was Stingers Ricky Maddock (Central Missouri) who pitched a solid four innings with two runs and five strike outs. The losing pitcher was Mankato’s Jesse Parker (Lewis-Clark State College).
