The Mankato Moondogs are still winless on the 2020 season after they fell to the St. Cloud Rox 6-2 on Thursday in Mankato. They have now lost their first six games of the season, and will host Waterloo Friday still in search of their first win. In other action, two games in the Wisconsin-Illinois pod were ended early due to inclement weather in the area, with the Green Bay Booyah and Rockford Rivets being the beneficiaries of the weather disruptions.

North Dakota Pod
Bismarck Larks 8 Bismarck Bull Moose 4
The Larks scored five times in the top of the second inning on Thursday to set the pace for what would turn out to be an 8-4 victory over the Bull Moose. Tim Simoes (US Military Academy) was the story of the game for the Larks, as he made his Northwoods League debut in a big way, jacking a grand slam in his first at-bat to set the tone. Noah kandel (Tiffin) would pick up the win, throwing three scoreless innings, allowing a hit and recording three strikeouts.

Michigan Pod

Wisconsin-Illinois Pod
Rockford Rivets 3 Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 1 (6 innings)
The Rivets had a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning when the skies opened up, resulting in a downpour that forced the game to be declared official. Pablo Ruiz (Central Florida) also contributed to the fireworks, hitting a home run to go 2-5 with a pair of RBI. Hunter Rosenbaum (West Virginia) picked up the win after throwing four scoreless innings, allowing two runs.

Green Bay Booyah 10 Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 8 (7 innings)
The Dock Spiders scored five runs in the top of the fourth, but it wasn’t enough to rally, as they fell to the Booyan 10-8 in a game called in the seventh inning due to rain. Andy Blake (Columbia) was 3-4 on the night for the Booyah, with a run scored and an RBI. Nadie Lewis (Princeton) was 1-3 on the night, with a third-inning home run. On the mound, Chandler Ingram (University of Montevallo) got the win, throwing two scoreless innings while recording three strikeouts.
