R.J. Martinez (Minot State) had a season-high eight strikeouts on Sunday to help the Rox to a 9-3 win over the Stingers in the first of two games on Sunday in Willmar.
Martinez got the start for St. Cloud and threw seven strong innings, allowing one earned run on six hits and one walk. The outing puts his season ERA at 2.55, with 27 strikeouts in 24.2 innings pitched. This was his second win of the season in eight appearances for the Rox.
