The Battle Creek Bombers picked up a doubleheader sweep of the Kalamazoo Mac Daddies on Monday, winning the second game by a narrow 1-0 score. The Bismarck Bull Moose also picked up a win, holding off a late rally from the Mandan Flickertails.

The Battle Creek Bombers scored five runs in the top of the fifth to pull away from the Mac Daddies for a 9-3 win. Davis Graham (Wayne State) was 2-4 for Battle Creek, with a double, an RBI and two runs scored. Joe Jones Concordia University) also went 2-4, with an RBI and a run scored while Pete Theodorellis (Molloy College) was 1-2, with two RBI. Joe Tany (Concordia University) threw three innings for the Bombers, allowing two runs on four hits with four strikeouts to earn his first win of the season. Tyler Carper (Minnesota-Morris) threw two innings, allowing a run to close out the game.

The Bombers scored a run in the first and a run in the fifth to sweep the Mac Daddies. Alex Baumann (Minnesota-Morris) was 1-2 for the Bombers, with a run scored. He was the only Battle Creek batter to record multiple hits in the nightcap, as they only had five hits as a team. Theodorellis threw three innings, allowing no runs on a hit with three strikeouts to pick up his first win of the season. Preston Sherman (Concordia) and Josh Swinehart (Western Michigan) both pitched scoreless innings to lock down the win.

La Crosse Loggers 13 Rockford Rivets 12
It was an offensive show in Rockford on Monday, but in the end it was the La Crosse Loggers who survived the Rivets. Kyson Donahue (Arizona) was 3-5 for the Loggers, with two runs batted in. Joel Vaske (Kirkwood CC) had three RBI on the night, while Zach Braun (Viterbo) recorded a pair of hits for La Crosse. Jackson Dvorak (Lewis University) was 2-4 for the Rivets offense, with three RBI and three runs scored. Jack Mizgalski (UW-La Crosse) picked up his second win of the season for the Loggers, throwing two and two-thirds of an inning, allowing two hits and recording three strikeouts.

Jacob Myer (Purdue University Fort Wayne) threw five and one-third of an inning of shutout baseball to lead the Dock Spiders to a big win over the Booyah on Monday. Tanner Smith (Oregon) was 4-6 for the Dock Spiders, with a double, a run batted in and two runs scored. Marcos Sanchez (Texas Wesleyan) went 2-4, with two RBI and two runs scored while Aaron Anderson (Liberty) went 3-5, with an RBI and two runs scored. Hayden Fox (UW-Whitewater) threw three and two-thirds of an inning no hits or runs with a pair of strikeouts.

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 10 Wisconsin Woodchucks 3
The Rafters jumped out to an early lead after scoring six runs in the bottom of the third to beat the Woodchucks on Monday. Christian Sepulveda (UT-Rio Grande Valley) was 2-5 for the Rafters, with a double,a home run and three runs batted in. Jason DiCochea (Santa Clara University) was 2-4, with two RBI and two runs scored while Andy Garriola (Old Dominion) was 1-5 with a run scored and two runs batted in. Travis Adams (Sacramento State) threw two innings, allowing two runs on four hits with one strikeout to pick up his third win of the season. Hunter Waldis (Seton Hall) threw two scoreless innings, recording four strikeouts to close out the game.

Waterloo Bucks 10 Rochester Honkers 1
The Bucks took advantage of a six-run third inning to easily beat the Honkers on Monday. Ben Ranieri (Linfield College) was 2-4 for Waterloo, with a double, two RBI and two runs scored. Blake Doremus (Cal State Northridge) was 3-5, with a double and a run scored while Brett McCleary (Iowa) went 3-5, with two runs batted in. Jalen Smith (UC Davis) was 1-4 at the plate, with two runs scored and two runs batted in. Jordan Nelson (University of Dubuque) picked up the win for Waterloo, throwing six and one-third of an inning, allowing a run on four hits with six strikeouts.

R.J. Martinez (Minot State) threw seven shutout innings for St. Cloud on Monday to help the Rox to a big win over the MoonDogs. Martinez allowed five hits and recorded 10 strikeouts on the night. He got plenty of offensive support, led by Ben Norman (Iowa), who was 2-5, with a double, a home run and two runs batted in. Sam Ireland (Minnesota) was 2-5, with a run scored and two runs batted in while Cody Kelly (Minnesota) had a pair of RBI.

Bismarck Bull Moose 5 Mandan Flickertails 3
The Flickertails loaded the bases in the ninth, but couldn’t muster enough of a rally to extend the game, as the Bull Moose held on for a narrow win. Ej Cumbo (NYIT) was 2-5 for Bismarck, with a run scored while Dane Nakatsuka (Irvine Valley College) went 2-4 with two runs scored an one RBI. Paxton Miller (University of Mary) picked up his second win of the season after throwing seven innings, allowing two runs on three hits with eight strikeouts for the Bull Moose. Sawyer Rolland (Minnesota State-Fergus Falls) picked up the save after pitching two innings, allowing an unearned run on three hits with a pair of strikeouts.
