Morgan McCloud (Texas Wesleyan) was dominant on Wednesday for the Flickertails as they beat the Larks 2-0, taking a 1-0 lead in the North Dakota pod championship series.
McCloud got the start and threw eight shutout innings, allowing two hits and recording a season-high 10 strikeouts. This was his seventh appearance of the season. In 31 innings pitched, he is 2-1, with an ERA of 1.74. He has allowed six earned runs on 16 hits with 31 strikeouts.
