Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 13 Green Bay Booyah 3
The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders plated three runs in the first inning en route to a 13-3 victory over the Green Bay Booyah. Connor Manthey (Bradley University) recorded three hits and four RBI. Connor McKenna (Truman State University) pitched six innings, giving up two hits and striking out eight Booyah. The Booyah scored all three of their runs in the ninth, and Matthew Rivera (Harford Community College) had two RBI.
Rockford Rivets 6 Kenosha Kingfish 1
Dylan Robertson (Iowa Western Community College) recorded two RBI and Elliott Wade (Grayson College) walked, singled, doubled, and picked up an RBI as the Rockford Rivets defeated the Kenosha Kingfish 6-1. Henry Kusiak’s (Missouri Southern State University) solo home run in the bottom of the ninth was the only run for the Kingfish.
Madison Mallards 7 Lakeshore Chinooks 2
Madison Mallards starter Ryan Lauk (Wagner College) recorded seven strikeouts and allowed one earned run in five innings to help lift the Mallards over the Lakeshore Chinooks 7-2. JT Benson (University of Louisville) hit two singles, a double, recorded two RBI, and scored two runs as the Mallard’s no. 2 hitter. Tommy Lamb (University of Oklahoma) gave up five hits, three walks and four earned runs in 4 ⅓ innings.
Traverse City Pit Spitters 3 Kokomo Jackrabbits 2 – 10 innings
Michael Stygles’ (Oakland University) 10th inning single to bring Christian Faust (Grand Valley State University) home gave the Traverse City Pit Spitters a 3-2 victory in the first extra innings game of the 2021 season. Marcus Jacob (University of Richmond) threw five innings and only allowed one earned run. Justis Burke (Embry-Riddle) recorded two hits and an RBI for the Jackrabbits.
Wisconsin Woodchucks @ Wisconsin Rapids Rafters – Rain Delay
Waterloo Bucks 5 Duluth Huskies 0
Harrison Cook (Iowa Western College) pitched five scoreless innings with five strikeouts as the Waterloo Bucks defeated the Duluth Huskies 5-0. Tavan Shadihi (Clarke) doubled and recorded two RBI. Zac White (University of Arkansas) recorded two of the Huskies’ five hits.
Mankato MoonDogs 2 La Crosse Loggers 1 – 10 innings
Mitchell Novak (St. Scholastica) was the Mankato MoonDogs hero with his game winning hit in the 10th inning. His single brought Caleb Heuertz (Midland College) in from third as the MoonDogs topped the La Crosse Loggers 2-1. Blake Reilly (Grand Canyon) struck out four Loggers.
Kalamazoo Growlers 7 Battle Creek Bombers 2
Luke Storm (Duke University) scored two runs and Adam Wheaton (Trine University) struck out 12 Battle Creek Bombers in seven innings as the Kalamazoo Growlers won 7-2 against the Bombers. The Bombers’ Ed Johnson (Tennessee Tech University) recorded two hits and walked once in his three at-bats. In the field, the Bombers committed four errors.
Bismarck Larks 10 Willmar Stingers 4
The Bismarck Larks used a four run seventh inning and a three run eighth inning to best the Willmar Stingers 10-4. Carter Howell went 1-2 with a solo home run, three walks, and two runs scored for the Stingers.
Rochester Honkers 6 Eau Claire Express 5
Seth Betts (Crown College) hit a homerun and recorded two RBI for the Rochester Honkers as they prevailed over the Eau Claire Express 6-5.
