Wisconsin Woodchucks and Eau Claire Express Both Score Winning Runs in the Ninth

Battle Creek Bombers 3 Kalamazoo Growlers 1

Will Christophersen (Michigan State University) threw six one-run innings in the Battle Creek Bombers’ 3-1 win against the Kalamazoo Growlers. Christophersen recorded eight strikeouts while only issuing two free passes. Don Goodes (University of Northwestern Ohio) collected two hits and walked once for the Growlers. 

 

Kokomo Jackrabbits 12 Rockford Rivets 7 

The Kokomo Jackrabbits used a three-run first inning and a two-run second inning to power their way past the Rockford Rivets 12-7. Eight Jackrabbits collected at least one hit and seven scored at least once. Dylan Robertson (Iowa Western Community College) collected three of the Rivets’ nine hits. 

 

Kenosha Kingfish 10 Traverse City Pit Spitters 3

Cam Redding (Saint Louis University) finished a triple shy of the cycle and collected three RBI as the Kenosha Kingfish handed the Traverse City Pit Spitters their first loss of the season 10-3. Ethan Peters (Loras College) tossed five shutout innings, giving up three hits, one walk, and striking out three Pit Spitters. Traverse City’s Christian Faust (Grand Valley State University) has a four-game hitting streak. 

 

Madison Mallards 6 Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 3

Cam Cratic (Missouri State University) doubled, homered, and collected four RBI as the Madison Mallards defeated the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 6-3. The Mallards were leading through the fourth inning but the Mallards took the lead with a three-run fifth inning. Josh Nicoloff (Columbia University) recorded two hits for the Rafters. 

 

La Crosse Loggers 12 Bismarck Larks 9 

Kyle Casper (University of Arizona) collected two hits and three RBI while scoring two runs in the La Crosse Loggers’ 12-9 win over the Bismarck Larks. Three other Loggers players also recorded two hits. The Larks only recorded one hit while scoring nine runs. (The Loggers committed three errors.) 

 

Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 15 Green Bay Booyah 7

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders exploded for seven runs in the eighth inning in their 15-7 victory over the Green Bay Booyah. Chandler Simpson (University of Alabama at Birmingham) collected four hits –including a triple– and scored three runs. Dalton Pearson (Georgia State University) recorded three hits and an RBI for the Booyah. 

 

Willmar Stingers 16 Rochester Honkers 3

Reid Homan (University of North Alabama) recorded six hits in six at-bats, including a double and a home run, in the Willmar Stingers’ 16-3 win against the Rochester Honkers. He scored twice and brought in three runs. Marco Castillo (Claremont-Mudd-Scripps) and Eric Rataczak (Minnesota Post Graduate Baseball) each collected two of the Honkers’ five hits. 

 

Wisconsin Woodchucks 9 Lakeshore Chinooks 5

The Wisconsin Woodchucks scored four runs in the top of the ninth to grab the lead and defeat the Lakeshore Chinooks 9-5. Kevin Kilpatrick (Central Florida Community College) hit a two-run home run to start the ninth inning rally and had three hits on the night. Tyler MacGregor (Columbia University) also recorded two hits. 

 

Waterloo Bucks 12 Minnesota Mud Puppies 4 

The Waterloo Bucks jumped out to a five run lead in the first inning en route to a 12-4 victory over the Minnesota Mud Puppies. Gabe Garcia (Air Force) recorded five hits and scored three times for the Bucks. Kyle Huckstorf (Iowa Western Community College) collected three of Minnesota’s seven hits. 

 

St. Cloud Rox 5 Duluth Huskies 4 

Tyson Fisher (Dixie State University) homered, walked, and collected two RBI as the St. Cloud Rox won 5-4 against the Duluth Huskies. Chris Esposito (University of Nebraska Omaha) also recorded two hits and scored twice. Three Huskies players each recorded two hits. 

 

Eau Claire Express 9 Mankato MoonDogs 8

Ryan Lin-Peistrup (University of Illinois at Chicago) was hit by a pitch and then came around to score the walk-off run for the Eau Claire Express’ in their nine-inning 9-8 victory over the Mankato MoonDogs. Lin-Peistrup recorded two hits –including a triple– and scored two runs tonight. Matthew Higgins (Bellarmine University) collected four hits and two RBI for the MoonDogs.
