Mankato Starter Throws Seven No Hit-Innings, Traverse City Sets Team Record for Home Runs 

St. Cloud Rox 6 Duluth Huskies 2

The St. Cloud Rox used a three-run first inning to secure their 6-2 victory against the Duluth Huskies. Three of the first four Rox batters singled to start the rally. In 5 ⅓ innings of work, Tyler Miller (California State University, Stanislaus), Matthew Craven (Bellarmine University), and Jullian Erro (Colby College) did not allow any earned runs out of the Huskies bullpen.  

 

Kalamazoo Growlers 9 Battle Creek Bombers 8  

Nolan McCarthy (University of Kentucky) homered and walked twice in his Kalamazoo Growlers season debut as the Growlers secured a 9-8 victory over the Battle Creek Bombers. Stephen Krause (Miami University Ohio) homered and brought in five runs for the Bombers. 

 

Rockford Rivets 16 Kokomo Jackrabbits 2

The Rockford Rivets exploded for 10 runs in the sixth inning en route to a 16-2 win over the Kokomo Jackrabbits. Tyeler Hawkins (University of Louisville) singled, doubled, and tripled while collecting five RBI and scoring twice. Chris Santiago (St. Mary’s) recorded three hits for Kokomo. 

 

Bismarck Larks 10 La Crosse Loggers 3

Spencer Sarringer (Northern State University) doubled twice and hit a home run for a total of four RBI as the Bismarck Larks defeated the La Crosse Loggers 10-3. Carson Tonni (Minot State University) threw five one-run innings. Ben Snapp (Eastern Illinois University) and TJ Manteufel (Bradley University) each homered for the Loggers. 

 

Traverse City Pit Spitters 14 Kenosha Kingfish 7 

Chris Monroe (University of Illinois at Springfield) singled and hit two home runs for the Traverse City Pit Spitters in their 14-7 win over the Kenosha Kingfish 14-7. Three other Pit Spitters also homered, and the five home runs are the most in team history. Kirk Liebert (University of Kentucky) had a four hit night including a double and a home run for the Kingfish. 

 

Rochester Honkers 17 Willmar Stingers 8 

Otto Grimm (University of Minnesota) doubled and homered while bringing in four runs as the Rochester Honkers offense powered to a 17-2 victory over the Willmar Stingers. Eight Honkers starters collected at least one hit. Carter Howell collected three hits, inducing a home run, and brought in two Stingers runs. 

 

Wisconsin Woodchucks 9 Lakeshore Chinooks 6

The Wisconsin Woodchucks used a six-run second inning and a three-run third inning as they went on to win 9-6 against the Lakeshore Chinooks. Roman Kuntz (Lake Michigan College) collected three hits and two RBI while also scoring twice for the Woodchucks. Seven Chinooks recorded at least one hit. 

 

Green Bay Booyah 5 Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 4 

Three Green Bay Booyah players each recorded three hits, including two doubles, as the Booyah defeated the Fond du lac Dock Spiders 5-4 for their first win of the season. Booyah reliever Caleb Ries (Northwest Florida State College) threw three scoreless innings. All four Dock Spiders runs came from solo home runs from four different players. 

 

Mankato Moondogs 6 Eau Claire Express 1

Owen Boerma (University of Northwestern, St. Paul) pitched seven no-hit innings for the Mankato MoonDogs as they won 6-1 over the Eau Claire Express. Boerma struck out six hitters, and the MoonDogs staff combined for a nine inning one-hit performance. Max Blessinger’s (Dallas Baptist University) one single was all the Express could collect tonight. 

 

Waterloo Bucks 9 Minnesota Mud Puppies 1

Duncan Davitt (University of Iowa ) threw 5 ⅔ shutout innings for the Waterloo Bucks in their 9-1 win against the Minnesota Mud Puppies. Davitt struck out ten batters while only allowing two hits and one walk. Kyle Huckstorf (Iowa Western Community College) scored the Mud Puppies’ lone run in the eighth inning. 

 

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 12 Madison Mallards 8 

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters plated 12 runs on 11 hits to defeat the Madison Mallards 12-8. The game was tied at five after the third, but the Rafters added on seven more to secure the victory.
