As Sunday night’s games came to an end, the Wausau Woodchucks capped off the night with a 19-6 victory over the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders. Both teams played a double header against each other to split their series. The Rochester Honkers earned their eighth win of the second half of the series tonight with four home runs and 13 hits. The Green Bay Rockers are working their way to the top with their four wins in a row and their second series sweep. 

Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 12, Wausau Woodchucks 4

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders took the first game of the night against the Wausau Woodchucks with a final score of 12-4. The Spiders scored seven runs in the bottom of the fourth inning with a home run by Branden Comia (University of Illinois) and a double by Kemp Alderman (University of Mississippi). Comia reached base twice with four RBI. Alderman also had four RBI with a walk later in the game. Nick Mitchell (Western Illinois University) led the offense reaching base four times with a double and one RBI. Andrew Sojka (California State University, Northridge) had three hits with the second home run of the night scoring each time he reached base. Joshua Culliver (University of Minnesota) was the starting pitcher throwing 3.1 innings with seven strikeouts. 

Kalamazoo Growlers 9, Rockford Rivets 8

The Kalamazoo Growlers rallied back to split the series against the Rockford Rivets 9-8. The Growlers scored eight runs in the fifth inning and their go ahead run in the top of the ninth. Anthony Stephan (University of Virginia) led the team with two hits including a triple and two RBI. Ryan Dykstra (Oakland University) reached base three times with two walks, a hit and two RBI. Alex Calarco (Northwestern University) had two hits, scoring once as he reached base. The Growlers combined for ten hits with nine walks to earn the win. 

Green Bay Rockers 12, Lakeshore Chinooks 9

The Green Bay Rockers struck first to defeat the Lakeshore Chinooks 12-9. Justin Simpson (Central Michigan University) had the first hit for his team with a triple to left field. Tristin Garcia (Western Kentucky) followed it up with a single to score a run in the bottom of the first inning. In Garcia’s next at bat he drove a home run to make the score 5-0. Garcia had three hits with four RBI and a stolen base on the night. Griffin Stevens (Tiffin University) reached base four times with three singles and a hit by pitch scoring twice. Chase Pelter (Texas Christian University) earned the win on the mound throwing 2.1 innings with three strikeouts giving up one hit. 

Duluth Huskies 6, St.Cloud Rox 5

The Huskies swept the series against the St.Cloud Rox 6-5. The Huskies scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth with a double by Jared Mettam (Saint Mary’s College) to walk off the game. Mettam had two hits with two RBI. Eddie Satisky (University Nebraska Omaha) had two hits with a double and one RBI. Peyton Powell (University of Texas at Austin) reached base three times with two hits, a walk with one RBI. Nolan Lebamoff (Valparaiso University) earned the win on the mound, throwing the last two innings with two strikeouts. Huskies combined for a total of 12 hits with zero errors on the field. 

Wausau Woodchucks 19, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 6

The Wausau Woodchucks bounced back to take down the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 19-6. The Woodchucks scored nine runs in the top of the seventh inning to cap off the game. Chase Hug (University of Evansville) earned Northwoods League Player of the Night with a double, home run, four RBI and three walks. Maurice Gomez (Keiser University) was an offensive leader with three hits two doubles, two walks and four RBI. Ryan Sepede (Brigham Young University) also had three hits with two doubles and three RBI scoring twice as they reached base. The Woodchucks had a total of 15 hits on the night with seven doubles to split the series. 

Kokomo Jackrabbits 13, Kenosha Kingfish 9

The Kokomo Jackrabbits won game two of the series against the Kenosha Kingfish 13-9. The Jackrabbits scored nine runs in the third inning with a home run by Mark Mcnelley (Seton Hall University) and five RBI singles. Mcnelly had two hits with a double and two RBI. Alejandro Holguin (University of South Carolina – Upstate) reached base four times with two hits, a walk and a hit by pitch with two RBI. Reagan Rivera (San Diego Mesa College) led the team with three hits on the night with a triple, home run and four RBI. Tyler Horvath (Case Western Reserve University) threw the last three innings with two strikeouts giving up no hits. 

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 4, Madison Mallards 3

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters defeated the Madison Mallards 4-3 for the first game of the series. Brady Jurgella (Minnesota) drove in the first run of the game with a single to left field. Colin Tuft (University of Virginia) drove a home run in the top of the sixth inning to make the score 3-0. Tuft had one hit with a walk and a stolen base. Stone Miyao (University of Hawaii)  scored the final run of the game in the top of the ninth inning with a single to center field. Nick Torres (Western Carolina) was the starting pitcher throwing four innings with five strikeouts giving up one hit. 

Traverse City Pit Spitters 5, Battle Creek Battle Jacks 0

The Traverse City Pit Spitters bounced back to split the series against the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 5-0. Aaron Forest (Doane University) earned Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night throwing a complete nine innings with two strikeouts giving up three hits. Brennen Dorighi (University of Iowa) led the offense with four hits including an RBI and a stolen base. Camden Traficante (Stetson University) had two hits with a double and one RBI. Marshall Toole (Wofford College) also had two hits with an RBI scoring once. The Pit Spitters had a solid game with ten hits and zero errors on the field.

La Crosse Loggers 14, Minnesota Mud Puppies 8

The La Crosse Loggers rallied back to take the series against the Minnesota Mud Puppies 14-8. The Loggers scored eight runs in the bottom of the third inning to take the lead. Josh Stevenson (Louisiana State University) led the offense with four hits including an RBI and a walk. Aidan Sweatt (University of North Florida) and Connor Walsh (Rice University) both had three hits with a double and four RBI by Sweatt. Xavier Casserilla (Wichita State University) had an outstanding night driving in six runs with a home run, single and a stolen base. Alijah Acevedo (Elgin Community College) had the win on the mound throwing two innings giving up one hit. 

Bismarck Larks 8, Mankato MoonDogs 4

The Bismarck Larks bounced back to split the series against the Mankato MoonDogs 8-4. The Larks scored three runs in the first inning with a double to left field by Jackson Bearman (University of Missouri). Bearman had two hits with two RBI on the night. A.J Barraza (California State University, San Bernardino) and Aaron Mann (Drury University) both had two hits with an RBI scoring once each. Austin Luther (Wittenberg University) had the win on the mound throwing the first five innings with six strikeouts. The Bismarck Larks won their sixth game of the second half of the season.

Willmar Stingers 13, Waterloo Bucks 2 

The Willmar Stingers continue their success to sweep the Waterloo Bucks 13-2. The Stingers scored ten runs in the eighth inning to advance their lead. Zac Corbin (Kennesaw State University) had the only home run for his team with a double and two RBI. Will Bush went three for five at the plate with two doubles, four RBI and a stolen base. Will Safford  (Louisiana State University) reached base twice with a single, double and two RBI. Mitch Gutknecht (Minnesota State University, Mankato) earned the win on the mound, throwing the last four innings with two strikeouts giving up no hits. 

Rochester Honkers 13, Eau Claire Express 5

The Rochester Honkers bounced back to split the series against the Eau Claire Express 13-5. Will Asby (Sacramento City College) crushed a home run over the right field fence to make the score 5-0 in the third inning. Asby had three RBI on the night. Carson Stevens (California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) had a great night at the plate going three for five with two home runs and five RBI. Theo Hardy (San Jose State University) also had three hits with two RBI scoring twice as he reached base. Noah Rooney (University of Minnesota) was the starting pitcher throwing six innings with two strikeouts to earn the win on the mound.
