The Rockford Rivets and the Traverse City Pit Spitters both swept their double headers in today’s games. The Mankato MoonDogs also earned their 10th win of the second half of the season with a 19-3 victory over the Honkers tallying 19 hits with three home runs and four doubles. The Stingers also continue their success as they won their eighth game in a row. 

Rockford Rivets 10, Battle Creek Battle Jacks 9 

The Rockford Rivets bounced back to defeat the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 10-9. The Rivets scored five runs in the second inning to take the lead. Matthew Mebane (South Georgia State College) had the only multi hit game going two for five at the plate with a double and two RBI. Brandon Bannon (University of Illinois at Springfield) reached base twice with a hit, walk, two RBI and two stolen bases. Conner Allen (Southern Arkansas University) went one for one with three walks and an RBI. Nick Demarco (Notre Dame) was the starting pitcher throwing two scoreless innings with two strikeouts. 

Traverse City Pit Spitters 5, Kenosha Kingfish 4

The Traverse City Pit Spitters took the second game of the series as they defeated the Kenosha Kingfish 5-4. Marshall Toole (Wofford College) led the team with three hits, two RBI, a walk and one stolen base. Colin Summerhill (Northern Illinois University) had the first hit for his team with a double to left field. Summerhill had two hits on the night with a walk and a stolen base. Duncan Lutz (Georgia State University) earned the win on the mound throwing five innings with seven strikeouts allowing one run to score. Aren Gustafson (Olivet Nazarene University) came into the game for Lutz to throw the next two innings with two strikeouts giving up no hits. 

Kokomo Jackrabbits 10, Kalamazoo Growlers 7

The Kokomo Jackrabbits rallied back to split the series with the Kalamazoo Growlers 10-7. The Jackrabbits scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the lead. Jon Jon Gazdar (Chabot College) led the offense with three hits including a double, three RBI and a stolen base. Mark Mcnelly (Seton Hall University) scored three times with a double and two walks driving in two runs with three stolen bases. Octavio Sanchez (Rogers State University) had the win throwing three innings with three strikeouts allowing zero runs to score. Tyler Horvath (Case Western Reserve University) contributed to the pitching staff throwing three innings with six strikeouts. 

Kalamazoo Growlers 11, Kokomo Jackrabbits 4

The Kalamazoo Growlers won the second game of the day against the Kokomo Jackrabbits 11-4. The Growlers struck first scoring two runs in the first inning with an RBI double by Anthony Stephan (University of Virginia). Stephan had three hits with a triple, three RBI and a stolen base. The Growlers scored five more runs in the fifth inning with an RBI triple by Kirkland Banks (Lamar University). Banks had one hit with two RBI. Banks Tolley (University of Mississippi) also had one hit with a double and four RBI. Tanner Knapp (Ball State University) earned the win on the mound throwing seven innings with five strikeouts. 

Rockford Rivets 8, Battle Creek Battle Jacks 2

The Rockford Rivets took down the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 8-2 to sweep their double head. Brandon Bannon (University of Illinois at Springfield) reached base four times with a hit, three walks and a stolen base scoring each time. Matthew Mebane (South Georgia State College) continued his success with three hits, an RBI and a stolen base. Drew Baker (Wright State University) drove in the last run of the game for his second hit of the night. Baker also had two walks and two RBI. Miguel Reyes Jr (University of New Mexico) earned Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night throwing 8.1 innings with nine strikeouts allowing only two runs to score. 

Traverse City Pit Spitters 6, Kenosha Kingfish 2

For their second win of the night, the Traverse City Pit Spitters took down the Kenosha Kingfish 6-2. The Pit Spitters scored their last three runs in the bottom of the eight with a home run by Camden Traficante (Stetson University). Marshall Toole (Wofford College) had the only multi hit game going two for four with a double and one RBI. Morgan Lunceford (University of San Diego) was the starting pitcher throwing 4.1 innings with five strikeouts giving up two hits. Ryan Insco (Central Michigan University) earned the win throwing 2.2 innings with two strikeouts giving up one hit. 

Wausau Woodchucks 8, Madison Mallards 5

The Wausau Woodchucks started the series with a win against the Madison Mallards 8-5. With a tied score going into the ninth inning, Tyler Cox (Eckerd College) walked off the game with a home run over the right field fence. Cox drove in three runs for his team. Chase Hug (University of Evansville) went two for three with a double and two RBI. Carter Heninger (San Jose State University) earned the win on the mound, throwing the last inning with two strikeouts giving up no hits. The Woodchucks had seven hits with only one error to earn the win. 

Willmar Stingers 9, Eau Claire Express 4

The Willmar Stingers stay hot winning their eighth game in a row as they take down the Eau Claire Express 9-4. Scott Anderson (Point Loma Nazarene University) drove in the first runs of the game with a single to center field. Anderson had two hits with two RBI and a walk. Joey Walls (California State University, Long Beach) crushed a grand slam in the second inning to advance their lead to 6-0. Zac Corbin (Kennesaw State University) reached base twice with two singles scoring each time. Nolan Kemp (University of St. Thomas) had the win on the mound throwing four innings with two strikeouts. The Stingers had 10 hits to take the win. 

Green Bay Rockers 6, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 4

The Green Bay Rockers started the series off with a win against the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 6-4. Danny Wuestenfeld (Central Michigan University) reached base five times with a single, three walks and a hit by pitch. Keniel De Leon (Long Island University – Brooklyn) had two hits with two RBI and two walks. Marcus Jaworski (University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point) threw the last five innings with two strikeouts giving up only two hits to earn the win on the mound. The Rockers generated seven hits with 12 hits to earn their fourth win in a row. 

Mankato MoonDogs 19, Rochester Honkers 3

The Mankato MoonDogs had an explosive offense defeating the Rochester Honkers 19-3. The MoonDogs scored six runs in the top of the ninth inning with a grand slam by Ariel Armas (University of San Diego). Sean Ross (Indiana State University) led the offense with three hits including two doubles with six RBI and a stolen base. Kai Roberts (University of Utah) contributed going two for four with a home run and three RBI. Taisei Yahiro (Grand Canyon University) led the pitching staff, throwing the sixth and seventh innings with four strikeouts and allowing zero runs to score. 

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 11, Lakeshore Chinooks 6

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters won their 16th game of the season as they took down the Lakeshore Chinooks 11-6. The Rafters struck first with a home run by Chase Call (University of California, Irvine) in the bottom of the first inning. Call earned Northwoods League Player of the Night with two home runs and five RBI. Brendan Bobo (California State University, Fullerton) also had a great offensive night going three for four with two doubles, a home run and two RBI. Aiden Brewer (Hillsdale College) reached base twice with a home run and two RBI scoring twice. Malakai Vetock (Creighton University) earned the win throwing three innings with four strikeouts allowing one run to score. 

Bismarck Larks 7, Duluth Huskies 6

The Bismarck Larks won their second game in a row as they defeated the Duluth Huskies 7-6. The Larks scored four runs in the third inning with an RBI single by Spencer Sarringar (Northern State University) and Adam Axtell (Point Loma Nazarene University). Seth Surrett (Long Island University – Brooklyn) also drove in a run with a double to right field. Sarringar and Axtell both had two hits on the night. Bradlee Preap (Radford University) led the offense with three hits and two RBI. Justin Goldstein (Middle Tennessee State University) was the closing pitcher throwing the last two innings with four strikeouts to earn the win. 

St.Cloud Rox 8, Waterloo Bucks 2

The St.Cloud Rox won the first game of the series against the Waterloo Bucks 8-2. The Rox rallied back scoring four runs in the third inning to take the lead. Ethan Mann (Dallas Baptist) led the team with four hits, including two doubles, a home run and four RBI. Ike Mezzenga (University of Minnesota) went two for four scoring once with two RBI. Brayden Gainey (University of Alabama) earned the win on the mound throwing the first seven innings with five strikeouts giving up three hits.
