The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters won their 25th game of the second half of the season to break the record for most games won in a regular season for Northwoods League. The Traverse City Pit Spitters made a comeback in the second half of the season clinching a spot in the playoffs and winning the Great Lakes East. The St.Cloud Rox are working their way to the top of the Great Plains West winning their 22nd game tonight. 

Traverse City Pit Spitters 11, Battle Creek Battle Jack 1

The Traverse City Pit Spitters bounced back to defeat the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 11-1. The Pit Spitters struck first, scoring two runs in the second inning with an RBI single by Michael Tchavdarov (Davenport University). Tchavdarov had three RBI with a stolen base. Jacob Charon (Lawrence University) reached base four times with two hits including a double, two walks and two RBI. Dallas Duarte (University of Hawaii) had one hit with four walks scoring three times he reached base. Nate Blain (Madonna University) earned the win on the night throwing the first six innings with three strikeouts giving up only three hits. 

Kalamazoo Growlers 10, Kokomo Jackrabbits 9

The Kalamazoo Growlers swept the series as they defeated the Kokomo Jackrabbits 10-9 in an 11 inning game. In the bottom of the 11th inning, Ryan Dykstra (Oakland University) reached base with a walk. Dykstra later scored on a wild pitch for the final run of the game. Dykstra had two hits including a triple, three walks and three RBI. Casen Taggart (Centralia College) contributed to the offense with three hits, a home run and two RBI. Dylan Freeman (University of Montevallo) was the starting pitcher throwing five innings with five strikeouts giving up four hits. 

Green Bay Rockers 5, Madison Mallards 0

The Green Bay Rockers took game two against the Madison Mallards 5-0. Will Semb (University of Minnesota) led the Rochers throwing a scoreless 8.2 innings with seven strikeouts to earn the win on the mound. Jake Mastillo (Long Island University – Brooklyn), Clayton Slack (Marshalltown Community College) and Carson Yates (UCLA) each had two hits with a double and two RBI by Mastillo. JP Gauthier (Illinois State University) scored the final run of the game in the bottom of the eighth inning with a home run over the left field fence. The Rockers generated a total of 11 hits to earn their fourth win in a row. 

Willmar Stingers 20, La Crosse Loggers 3

The Willmar Stingers split the series as they defeated the La Crosse Loggers 20-3. Jordan Sagedahl (South Dakota State University) earned Northwoods League Player of the Night with two hits including a grand slam with three walks and six RBI. Kole Krier (St. Cloud State University) had two hits with a home run in the third inning and two walks scoring each time he reached base. Will Hodo (University of Alabama) contributed to the offense with four hits, a hit by pitch and two RBI. Logan Samuels (University of Montevallo) started the game throwing 5.1 innings with ten strikeouts giving up two hits. 

Eau Claire Express 8, Duluth Huskies 1

The Eau Claire Express continued their success to take down the Duluth Huskies 8-1. Clay Conn (University of Illinois at Chicago) had two triples with a hit by pitching, scoring twice as he reached base. Cadyn Schwabe (North Dakota State University) had one hit with a double, three walks, three stolen bases and two RBI. JJ Pease (University of Montevallo) started the game throwing five innings with five strikeouts to earn the win on the mound. Isaiah Katz (University of Wisconsin-La Crosse) closed the game throwing the last two innings with five strikeouts giving up zero hits. The Express had six hits on the night with zero errors. 

Wausau Woodchucks 5, Lakeshore Chinooks 2

The Wausau Woodchucks took the series against the Lakeshore Chinooks 5-2. The Woodchucks scored three runs in the third inning with a home run by Chase Hug (University of Evansville). Travis Stapleton (Polk State College) had the only multi hit game with a single and double scoring once as he reached base. Nick Marshall (West Texas A&M University) was the starting pitcher throwing seven innings with eight strikeouts to earn the win. Korey Bunselmeyer (University of Illinois) threw the last two innings with five strikeouts giving up only one hit and allowed zero runs to score. 

St.Cloud Rox 13, Waterloo Bucks 8

The St.Cloud Rox won their fifth game in a row as they defeated the Waterloo Bucks 13-8. The Rox scored seven runs in the sixth inning with an RBI double by Charlie Condon (University of Georgia) and Jack Steil (North Dakota State University). Condon led the team with four hits including three doubles and five RBI. Steil had two hits with a hit by pitch and two RBI. O’Neil Burgos (Southern University and A&M College) also had two hits with a double and two RBI. Danny Glenos (University of Montevallo) earned the win throwing 2.1 innings with two strikeouts. The Rox had 14 hits to sweep the series. 

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 12, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 6

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters won their second game in a row to sweep the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 12-6. The Rafters rallied back, scoring six runs in the third inning with an RBI single by Colin Tuft (University of Virginia). Tuft had two hits with a double and four RBI. Garrett Broussard (Utah Valley University) had two hits including a triple and two RBI. Logan Schulfer (Ball State) came into the game to throw three innings with four strikeouts receiving his seventh win on the mound. Connor Kurki (Coastal Carolina University) closed the game throwing the last inning with two strikeouts. 

Kenosha Kingfish 7, Rockford Rivets 6

In an 11 inning game, the Kenosha Kingfish swept the series against the Rockford Rivets 7-6. With one out in the bottom of the 11th inning, Zach Marriott (Hendrix College) drove a single to center field to walk off the game. Brady Counsell (University of Minnesota) led the team with two hits including two doubles with two walks and two RBI. Bryant Bagshaw (Minot State University) threw the first seven innings with two strikeouts. Zach Carinci (Case Western Reserve University) was the closing pitcher throwing the last four innings with three strikeouts giving up only two hits. 

Mankato MoonDogs 8, Rochester Honkers 4

For their fourth win in a row the Mankato MoonDogs defeated the Rochester Honkers 8-4. The MoonDogs scored five runs in the first inning to take the lead. Derek Shoen (University of Mary) reached base twice with a hit and a hit by pitch with three RBI. Orlando Salinas (Kansas State University) had a single , double and a walk to reach base. Ariel Armas (University of San Diego) scored three times reaching base with two hits and a walk. Taisei Yahiro (Grand Canyon University) was the starting pitcher throwing 7.1 innings with eight strikeouts allowing only one run to score.
