\n\tThe Duluth Huskies (14-16) beat the Thunder Bay Border Cats (4-25) Wednesday night.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe second game of the double header between the Duluth Huskies and the Thunder Bay Border Cats was dominated by pitching. Both pitchers went deep into the game as Brandon Langan, the starting pitcher for Thunder Bay, went 6.1 innings and Payton Robinson, the starter for Duluth, went 7.0 innings and took a no-hitter into the top of the 5th<\/sup> inning.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe game remained scoreless until the bottom of the 7th<\/sup> inning. Carter Hanford led off the bottom of the 7th<\/sup> with a single. He advanced to second on a sacrifice hit by Mitch Reeves and came in to score on a Brendan McClary single which also scored Matt Brown who had reached on an error. Although those were the only two runs scored by the Huskies Wednesday night they would be enough as the Huskies went on to win the game by a score of 2-0.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tPayton Robinson got the start for the Huskies and picked up the win; he pitched 7.0 innings allowing 0 runs on 2 hits walking 3 and striking out 2. He was replaced by Reid Long who threw 1.0 inning allowing 0 runs on 1 hit and walked 1. Quinten Longrie pitched the 9th<\/sup> inning allowing 0 runs on 1 hit and walked 1.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe stars for the Huskies tonight were Payton Robinson for his strong pitching performance, Carter Hanford who went 3-4 with 1 run scored; Austin Bernard who went 2-2 with a walk, and Brendan McClary who went 1-2 with a walk and 2RBIs.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Huskies are on the road Thursday through Sunday at the Wisconsin Woodchucks and the Rochester Honkers. They return to Wade Stadium on Monday, July 4 to battle the Willmar Stingers.
