\n\tThe Duluth Huskies (22-26) defeated the Thunder Bay Border Cats (10-36) Sunday afternoon after a game full of hits.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Border Cats started where they left off Saturday Night, which was hitting and scoring. They scored 4 runs on 5 hits in the top of the 1st<\/sup> to jump to an early lead over the Huskies. In the top of the 2nd<\/sup> the Border Cats added 1 to their lead on a homerun from Michael Papierski. The Huskies started to claw their way back in the bottom of the 3rd<\/sup> scoring 1, with Jake Pries being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score Brendan McClary. Daniel Amaral hit a single to score Chase Barbary in the bottom of the 4th<\/sup> to continue to cut into the Border Cats lead. Liam Sabino hit a giant double to score Reid Long in the bottom of the 5th<\/sup> with the Huskies making the score 5-3 Border Cats. Top of the 6th<\/sup> the Border Cats scored 2 more runs to continue their lead. Then the Huskies offense exploded in the bottom of the 6th<\/sup> scoring 7 runs on 5 hits to take their first lead of the game. The Huskies offense continued in to the bottom of the 7th <\/sup>when they scored on double from Reid Long. The Border Cats scored on a sacrifice fly from Michael Papierski, but it wasn’t enough to take the lead. The final score of the game would be 11-8 in favor of the Huskies.\n<\/p>\n \n\tDrew Molin was the starter for the Huskies, tossing 4.0 innings with 8 hits, 5 runs, 0 walks, and 0 strikeouts. It would be Payton Robinson that would receive the win after tossing 2.0 innings with 5 hits, 2 runs, 0 walks, and 3 strikeouts.
