\n\tThe Duluth Huskies (23-27) beat the Green Bay Bullfrogs (22-28) Friday night.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tOn the night after a devastating collapse and 6 errors, the Huskies rebounded and earned a victory over the Bullfrogs in Green Bay. The Huskies were led by great pitching and some spectacular defensive plays from third baseman Carter Hanford, shortstop Liam Sabino, and left fielder Reid Long.\n<\/p>\n
\n\t The Huskies got off to a quick start as they scored 2 runs in the first inning thanks to a Jake Pries homerun, his second in as many games. After the 1st<\/sup> inning the Huskies bats fell silent and they had to rely on their pitching.\n<\/p>\n \n\tThe Bullfrogs tied the game at 2 in the bottom of the 2nd<\/sup> before taking the lead in the bottom of the 6th<\/sup>.\n<\/p>\n \n\tGoing into the 7th<\/sup> inning, the Huskies were trailing the Bullfrogs 2-4. That deficit was cut in half when Long hit a solo homerun to right. The top of the 8th<\/sup> is when things really started to go well for the Huskies as they posted 3 runs to take a 6-4 lead. Dillon Paulson tied the game with a long solo shot to right. Two batters later, the Huskies took a 1 run lead when Matt Brown doubled to score Sabino. The Huskies extended their lead when Austin Bernard scored on a Brett Milazzo single. \n<\/p>\n \n\tFred Manke got the start for the Huskies. Manke, making his debut for the Huskies, tossed 5.2 innings allowing 4 runs on 10 hits while walking 1 and striking out 1. Drew Mullinax came into the game in relief of Manke and earned the victory. Mullinax pitched 1.1 innings and allowed 0 runs on 1 hit and struck out 1. Riley Gates pitched the 8th<\/sup> inning for the Huskies. He allowed 0 run on 0 hits and struck out 2. Quentin Longrie pitched the 9th<\/sup> for the Huskies and picked up the save after striking out the side.\n<\/p>\n \n\tDillon Paulson had a big night at the plate for the Huskies. He went 3-4 with a HR and a walk.\n<\/p>\n \n\tThe Huskies are back in action tomorrow night in St. Cloud as they battle the Rox. First pitch from Joe Faber field is scheduled for 6:05. The Huskies return to Duluth on Sunday, July 24th to battle the St. Cloud Rox. First pitch from Wade Stadium is set for 3:05.\n<\/p>\n \n\tOn July 24th the Huskies are celebrating Christmas in July sponsored by Bentleyville.
