\n\tThe Duluth Huskies (28-41) lost a tough game to the Rochester Honkers (20-49) Thursday night at Wade Stadium.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Honkers jumped out to an early lead against the Huskies Thursday night as they scored 4 runs in the top of the 2nd<\/sup> inning. Joey Czarske scored the first run of the game when he came acorss on a Cole Heavilin single. The next batter, Josh Hauser, followed with a sac fly which scored Jackson Thoreson. Later in the inning, Kyle Kasser doubled to score Turner Buis and Heavilin.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Huskies were able to cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the 3rd<\/sup>. The Huskies first run came across when Daniel Amaral scored on an Austin Bernard single. The next batter, Dillon Paulson, followed with a single of his own to score Bernard.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tAfter the 3rd<\/sup> inning, both pitchers settled in and no more runs were scored until the top of the 9th<\/sup> inning when Buis scored on a Casey Worden sac fly. At the end of the night, the scoreboard read Honkers 5 Huskies 2.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tFred Manke got the start for the Huskies and earned the loss after tossing 7.0 innings allowing 4 runs, 3 earned, on 4 hits while walking 5 and striking out 1. Alex Ferguson came into the game in relief of Manke and tossed 2.0 innings allowing 1 run, 0 earned, on 3 hits while walking 2 and striking out 3.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Huskies are back at Wade Stadium tomorrow night for the last home game of the season. First pitch against the Rochester Honkers is scheduled for 6:35 with gates opening at 5:35. In every inning throughout the game, the Huskies will be giving away various prizes as part of their nine innings of winning promotion.
