\n\tThe Duluth Huskies(22-25) split the series with the Rochester Honkers(23-23) today as they won 11-3. Two players shined in the road win, Garrett Brown and Kyle Hubbuch.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tGarrett Brown(4-3) had quite the game today. Brown went 5.2 innings giving up only one run off of two hits while striking out four. He did a tremendous job of mixing up his pitches and speeds all game long. Brown was relieved by Colin Baumgard(0-1) who went 1.2 innings and only allowed one base runner off of one hit. Joe Gonrowski(1-2) came in after Baumgard and pitched 0.2 innings. Gonrowski struck out both of the batters he faced and was then replaced by Stephen Yancey(2-1). Yancey pitched the ninth inning and gave up two un-earned runs off of one hit. The bullpen of the Huskies performed outstanding to secure the win.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe offense of the Huskies had another great game as they combined for 11 runs off of 16 hits. There were big nights offensively from the lineup but none bigger than Kyle Hubbuch’s. Mr. RBI king for the Huskies went 3-4 with two homeruns, a double, four RBI and two runs scored. Entering the game, Hubbuch was 2-11 on the road trip. But you can never count Hubbuch out of having a big night offensively, especially when it is only 310 feet down the right field line. Luke Roskam also had a good night as he went 2-5 with a solo homerun, two runs scored and two RBI. Chase Strumpf also continued his hot streak as he went 2-4 with an RBI.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tHuskies now have three days off for the Northwoods League All-Star break. Only Kevin Folman(1-1) will be making the trip out for the game. Jake Preis and Camryn Williams were selected to the All-Star game but are both not going to play due to injury. Huskies resume normal games on Thursday as they take on the St. Cloud Rox in enemy territory at 7:05 pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
