Jeffrey Chapuran, a first-year assistant coach with the Pilots of LSU-Shreveport, will spend the summer developing hitters at Wade Stadium. Prior to spending last season with hitters and infielders for the DII Juco National Champion Northern Oklahoma College-Enid, Chapuran helped lead Tates Creek High School to a Kentucky State Championship, according to lsusathletics.com. \u201cI feel as though my strengths revolve around my ability to make relationships with people and communicate and connect with players,\u201d says Chapuran, who cited the Huskies as an upstanding, incredibly well-run organization-a key reason he is excited to join the Huskies. \u201cThat along with my respect for Coach Pointer led me to want to join.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to their official page, LSUS Pilots Head Coach Brad Neffendorf acknowledged how impressive it is that Coach Chapuran has been a part of multiple winning programs. &#8220;Jeff\u00a0has been a part of some very successful programs, coming to us from Northern Oklahoma Enid, who won the 2019 NJCAA D2 National Title.
